Hi Tom,
Good to read your comments on Bill Casey.
For once we have an elected representative who clearly realizes that the boss is not the leader of the party he ,she is supposed to represent but the names on the voters list in the riding he was elected in and to represent them.
To bad I live in a Halifax riding and not Amherst. Mr. Casey would certainly have my vote !

I too could not bring myself to watch the interview, I value keeping my lunch down a little more than you I guess. I had no respect for him while he was PM, I cannot find it in me to show him any now. Trudeau had his faults, namely he might have taken a greater interest in economics but there really is no contest as to which one spoke the greater truth and which one was the better man. I agree, it is time for mr mulroney to grow up.

You're a better man than I, Tom. After listening to and reading the stories and promotion for this event, I could not stomach the idea of actually watching it.

Don't get me wrong, although I had a deep respect for Pierre Trudeau, there are no innocent parties in the martial art of Politics. But this whole spectacle has reduced what little respect I had for Brian Mulroney. Showing his flawless political tact, by taking the high road, exposing his backroom conflicts in some sort of effort to move his name up history's ranking list of our Prime Ministers.

At this rate he is more likely to be known as the father of Canadian Idol's host Ben Mulroney, who interestingly enough was once the PM of Canada.
