No phones!

There was a Telus line cut at Cambie and Broadway yesterday which knocked out all of our computers. While most of our technology is back up and running, there are no phones into the control room. I’m filling in for Fred & Cathy…if there’s something you’d like to say in the morning…feel free to leave it here…just click “comments”.

I second the remark from Shelly above — but I have a complaint — I knew when you said the artist was coming up, that you would be playing a song by that artist, so when Fleetwood Mac came on the air, I entered that for the Artist — got the answer that it was incorrect! I was very surprised, so waited to hear the announcement, but when you said “Fleetwood Mac” I was astounded — why was I told “sorry you have entered an incorrect answer”? Was I too early? I was only a minute or so before you announced.

    I guess because there is a glitch, the answer to the Artist of the Day online is goofy. Ientered Fleetwood Mac which you had just said was Artist of the Day, and I was told, Sorry, Wrong Answer!!! That’s not good!

    Oh oh, seems that lots of others just had the same problem! No double points today! Seems like a glitch, anyway, you are doing a great job filling in, keep up the good work. Hope your phones are up and running soon. Hmmm, first the oil spill, now a major fibre optic cable cut…don’t any of these contractors CHECK before they dig anymore? There should be huge fines for being so careless!
