Good morning.
Today is officially the first full day of summer. Seems hard to believe…..both time and weather-wise. I haven’t checked the forecast yet this morning. I don’t imagine it’s changed lots since yesterday. What’s up for your weekend? We jumped on the motorcycles yesterday afternoon and headed down to Queen’s Quay. The Tall Ships are docked downtown. The Bluenose 2 is part of the display. Yesterday, they were taking tourists out for a jaunt on the lake. Pretty fantastic to watch.
We did ’sexy bingo’ yesterday. If you missed it, lucky you;) It is a little weird….the code was G48. The code from the countdown this morning was contract. The show included a bunch of ‘riders’ from different rock bands. Remember the Van Halen story? The guys making some poor sucker remove a certain colour of M&M’s from a bowl? It’s stuff like that, but, more recent. We took a look at the Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson and Limp Bizkit.

ONE IN THREE IT STAFF SNOOPS ON COLLEAGUES: One in three information technology professionals abuses administrative passwords to access confidential data such as colleagues’ salary details, personal emails or board-meeting minutes. U.S. information security company Cyber-Ark surveyed 300 senior IT professionals, and found that one-third admitted to secretly snooping, while 47 percent said they had accessed information that was not relevant to their role.
Cyber-Ark said privileged passwords get changed far less frequently than user passwords, with 30 percent being changed every quarter and 9 percent never changed at all, meaning that IT staff who have left an organization could still gain access.
Additionally, the survey found that seven out of 10 companies rely on outdated and insecure methods to exchange sensitive data, with 35 percent choosing email and 35 percent using couriers, while 4 percent still relied on the postal system.
Keep in mind, the results of the subject above is from an American firm. I know that in my office, we update our passwords religiously……as prompted by our ‘intranet’ system.
My question to you…..have you ever snooped in someone’s email??? At work? At home? I will admit it, I have done it in the past. At home. Was living with someone….I was suspicious of something….I was right. There was a whole lot of inappropriate going on. In retrospect, am I glad I did….yes, the relationship would’ve ended anyway, that just sped up the process…..

The girls on the outside of us are a pair of sisters that we grew up with, Kim and Kelly. We’re not related to them, but, we may as well be. Those are the girls that I’ve pinky sworn with, told all my secrets to and laughed till it hurt with…..the girl to my left, in yellow, Kelly….her favorite story to tell is how I once ate a dog biscuit to stop her from crying……thank God for friends like them….I hope you have some of those people in your life.
