130 years young….
The CNE opened this morning. Thanks for your CNE memories earlier in the week. I’m going to use some of them in the Jack Nation Countdown this weekend. Jeff’s morning show bonus code was tiny tom….mmmm…..remember those yummy little donuts? What are most looking forward to eating that’s bad for you at the EX? corn dog? cotton candy? warm beer nuts? Kim Mitchell will play at the EX this weekend, and the weather sounds great!
I know that we don’t usually mention ‘other’ radio stations on blogs, on air, all of that. It’s not a normal practice in business, but, I will tell you Kim is a good friend, even though he works for Q;) Another radio friend is doing something that I admire and I want to support her. My girlfriend, Leanne works for Country 95.3. She’s involved in a lot of fundraising when it comes to breast cancer. She’s lost 3 women she loved to the disease and is willing to shave her beautiful hair over it….I can tell you honestly, I admit that I’m too vain. I don’t think I could do that. I don’t want to see her do it either, but, I’ll donate to the cause anyway. I admire you, Lea. Here’s what she’s up to:
The Country 95.3 Weekend To End Breast Cancer “BROADcast”…when All the C95.3 women take over the airwaves to raise money to end breast cancer. If we reach our goal, I shave my HEAD! Actually YOU might be the one to do it ;) You can help now if you like…just follow this link to donate:

Good luck Lea!
The ‘Sexy Bingo’ code from today was G52.
Have a terrific weekend!

I lost my grandmother to cancer in 1990. My grandfather had prostate cancer and about 2 other sisters on my grandmother’s side of the family have had their own battles with it. Man, I wish they could find a cure.
And why would you want to mention any other radio stations on air by name?
The mighty Q mighty sucks!!! LOL!

Hey Sam, meant to respond to this earlier. This is a cause very near and dear to my (broken) heart.
I’ll try & pledge Lea before the event, and maybe I’ll hit you gals up for a donation next year when I do my 4th CCS Relay for Life
I don’t mind that you mentioned the mighty PEW, it’s for a good cause. Cheers Lea, and thanks Sam for mentioning this - GO LEA, GIRL, GO!
