Bonjovi-itis….
Hi there!
One of the guys in the building here at Bloor and Jarvis has started something….everytime I play a Bon Jovi song I get pseudo hate mail….I say pseudo because I know it’s not me that Adam hates, just Jon Bon Jovi….that’s opened up a can of ‘haters’. I didn’t realize there was such a distate for Jon….seems to only come from guys mostly…..what’s the deal with that? Is it because he’s hot? And a rockstar? The women want him…..or is it something else? I’ve attached a couple of emails that I’ve received with regard to the whole thing. Feel free to leave a comment.
The website that allows me to create bonus codes is down….I will try and get one set before I leave this aft for you!

Hey Samantha: This Bon Jovi thing is not limited to the guys at the radio station. My husband is the same one. I am a huge fan of Bon Jovi; have been since they first started. He kids me all the time that I just want to throw my underwear at him, which I would if I had the chance. However he did buy me their Lost Highway DVD for Christmas, which he did watch with me along with our 8-year old son. He proceeded to tell me that Jon Bon Jovi looks like a girl. But again they both watched the DVD with me. Which leads to me believe they are closet Bon Jovi fans. Keep playing Bon Jovi all us girls listening will keep enjoying, while they guys can just be jealous and wish they were him since he earned $104 million dollars this year.

I think the Bon Jovi haters need to get a life.
Bon Jovi is not strickly a “chick band”.
In their vast catalogue of songs there are many great rock tunes that appeal
to both sexes.
Sam you just keep those tunes coming.

My fiance is the same way, he makes fun of all my Bon Jovi stuff; the photos, the framed concert tickets, the Jon and Ritchie figurines, the kechains and cellphone ringtones. He says I’m obsessed, but I just say I’m a loyal fan. I like everything about their music and DEFINITELY everything about Jon, ladies you know what I mean! I’m just waiting for the day that JACK autions off front row seats to one of their concerts, I’m saving all my JACK points for just that reason. By the time that ever happens I ought to have about a million points, hopefully that’s enough. LOL! To all the haters — no one said you had to listen to their music or buy their CD’s, but you all seems to know quite a bit about Bon Jovi for people who “don’t like them”.
P.S. Sam, keep playing Born To Be My Baby, that is my all time favourite song and I always crank it up when it’s on.

First of all, how can anybody hate Bon Jovi (sorry, been a fan since Slippery so I’m biased)? Whenever I go to their concerts (& there have been many), there are always many guys there as well, so I figure any hatred of the band is just an individual-taste thing. Keep on playing that Bon Jovi music! Sam, hope you have a great vacation - I’m also on vacation so looking forward to it as well!

Please, please, please, do NOT, under any circumstances stop playing BonJovi tunes!! I’ve been a fan since they formed, and enjoy their music as much today as I did 20+ years ago!!!
Apologies to all the BonJovi-itus folks at Jack FM, but I think BonJovi’s longevity, sell out concerts and sales volumes speak for themselves …. no?

Some guys like them…some guys can’t stand them. I’m one that can’t. Their music is sub-standard and even Jon himself has said he hates being linked to the 80’s hair band era. I’ll give em his due. If it weren’t for him there are a number of hair bands that followed that wouldn’t have had a career. But to distance yourself after making so much of his money off of it is sad. I doubt they’ll get that far with their “new” direction!

I’m a chick who’s sick of Bon Jovi (except for Jon’s good looks). Every song sounds the same with new words only. Their first few hits were their best, now it just seems like the same song over and over, nothing seems very original anymore. Time to quit while you’re ahead!

I think you should have a BON JOVI HOUR! LOL, not all men are haters, probably just a little green with envy! My husband likes Jonny boy, but would probably agree with other husbands that the wives only wish they could have 5 minutes alone with him! Keep rocking out the Bon Jovi and all the other great stuff!
