Monday, Monday….
Hey….thanks to everyone who stopped by Envy Rides Ink to visit us this past Saturday. The website is envyrides.ca not .com as I had previously noted….boo…that’s what I get for trying to update this early on a Saturday morning after a late Friday night. Use ‘envyrides’ as a bonus code for some extra points.
I hope you had a great weekend. I did. After the bonus code event, we went downtown with friends….a recovery Caesar at Hemmingway’s, then a visit to the patio at the Black Bull, then it was off to dinner on Queen West….after an hour long wait….we were finally seated. No reservations allowed at the little Italian joint we went to. Normally, I wouldn’t wait in line (short of a line for coffee, there’s not much I see that important), but, we had a friend in from England and he REALLY wanted to eat there. So we waited. The food was good. Could’ve just been the fact that we waited so bloody long that we were too hungry to know the difference……at any rate the company was great, and that’s what really mattered.
Friday afternoon I received a message from a friend in Ottawa. One of the girls that I worked with at CHEZ 106/KISS FM passed away Friday morning. Her name is Cindy and she’ll be missed. Cindy had been fighting cancer since 2001. She was one of the most sarcastic, funny, take no sh*t women I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was fantastic fun to work with. The managers were generally afraid of her. That was pure comedy. She also had a giant, kind heart. She loved her family dearly. For them, I am extremely sad. She passed on her husband’s birthday. Cindy will be fine where she’s going. It’s them I worry over. You’re already missed Chick.
Thanks for stopping by.
Samantha

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend, Cindy.
Her family will need a lot of support to get through this.
To quote Billy Joel, “Only the good die young”. So very sad.

So sorry hear about your friend/colleague passing away Samantha. Eight years is a really long time to fight any health issue, let alone cancer. The good thing is that she’s not struggling/suffering anymore. Sounds like she was the type to put everything into whatever she did, including friendships. That usually makes for a loyal friend - the best kind! Thanks for sharing & take care.

My condolences, that’s always sad to lose a friend. My thoughts are with you Sam and her family. It’s always those that are left behind that you have to worry about. God love ‘em…
