July 16th? How did that happen??

It’s the 16th of July!!!  Can someone please slow the summer down?!  I recall being told when I was young that each year seems to pass faster than the last…..seems my parents were right.  Again. The older I get, the smarter they get;)

Wednesdays are the days that we tape the Jack Nation Countdown show….today could be interesting for a couple reasons….we’ve started to go out on location, which makes it way more fun for me….but, not my director.  Last week we taped the show down in the Distillery District, which was pretty cool.  The funny part was, it was windy and my director was soooo stressed about my hair blowing around.  Usually, it’s us women who stress over those details.  I finally put it up in a pony tail so he wouldn’t have a coronary event.  I promised him I would bring a hat this week.  Guess what I forgot!! Anyone know CPR?  ahahah!!  Should be a great day;)  Maybe the rain will come early and none of it will matter….use ‘ponytail’ as a bonus code for some extra points.

This weekend sees the release of ’The Dark Knight’ starring the late Heath Ledger.  Sad.  At any rate, Andrew Burns has suggested that we make a list for the tv show this weekend concerning that film….AB is a wee bit of a comic book fan….to say the least.  His list idea?  Top 5 Batman Villains.  Hit the comment button and submit….

Thanks for stopping by!

Batman villains, heroes in song, bats, jokers in song, ponytails on hotties…

  2. Bill R Says:

    Top 5?

#2 Catwoman (just not Halle Berry!)
#3 Clayface (His ability to be anyone is just too cool)
#4 Riddler (Brings out the Detective in the Dark Knight)
#5 Bane (hello he broke his back!)

Number one is a no brainer and therfore not necessary to list.

  3. Claire Says:

Thanks Sam for the “sunscreen” points :)

Hey, Sam. I wanted to start off by saying I love the station, it’s just about the only thing that gets me through the workday. I’d also like to extend, through you, a thank-you to whomever pulled my name out of the hat and awarded me the man basket. Rest assured that it will be used to its fullest on the deck this weekend.
In regards to your question of the best Batman villain, I woulod have to go with Bane. Although not the most popular or even well-known villain, Bane was, to my knowledge, the only one that actually defeated Batman. And he didn’t just set a trap and try to kill Batman, he exposed his identity, ruined his life, and finally broke Bruce Wayne’s back. Now THAT’S a bad guy! Then Joel Schumacher took arguably the most brilliant villain in the Batman lexicon and turned him into a bumbling, mono-syllabic goon. It was a travesty rivalled only by the decision to put nipples on the Batsuit.
Director Christopher Nolan has made great strides in saving the Batman name, but if he were to somehow introduce Bane in the next film and make it work, then in my mind, he will have truly redeemed the franchise.

Thank you for your time, and keep up the good work.
