Cameos…..
After all the chatter about the Muppet Show, we were talking about tv cameos here. The list we want to compile for the tv countdown is called ‘Top 5 Rockstar TV Cameos’….Alice Cooper on The Muppets is where that idea came from. What were/are your fave rockstar tv cameos?
The TV countdown will be of interest to REM fans….we’ve got tix to give away with the show on Saturday. It’s on City TV at 4pm.
Enjoy the sun if you can today…..check out this email….funny:
Hi Sam. I was listening to your show at work today. Like I do every day when I’m working in range of your station. I work in construction and run heavy equipment. Anyway, I had broken my machine at work and I got to go home early today. The whole point of this email? The song that had just started playing when I noticed something wrong? “Another One Bites The Dust”. Thanks for the day off. lol. See ya on the radio…
Dear J…..How about I play ‘Lager and Ale’ for you tomorrow?:)
Use the word ‘cameo’ for some extra JN points.
Thanks for stopping by!
Sam

My favourite cameo was Cher on Will & Grace. I kept rewinding that scene on my PVR - too funny.

Billy Idol onthe wedding singer. How cool was that?

I enjoyed Billy Idol when he made a cameo in the movie The Wedding Singer. Yeah, it was a movie and no a TV show, but I don’t think I recall too many rock stars appearing on TV except Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother a few weeks ago, but she’s not really a rock star.

Steven Tyler on Two and a Half Men. Too funny when Charlie Sheen’s character gets into a fight with him. His brother has a great line “dude may look like a lady, but he sure kicked the crap out of you.”

Ted Nugent on Miami Vice…. and That 70’s show…
And Paul’s note above for Steven Tyler!!!

Hey Sam;
Have to say I got a kick out of Alice Cooper in Wayne’s World.
——————————————————————————–
Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?
Alice Cooper: Well, I’m a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers began visiting here in the late 16th century.
Pete: Hey, isn’t “Milwaukee” an Indian name?
Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. In fact , it’s pronounced “mill-e-wah-que” which is Algonquin for “the good land.”
Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.

Bette Midler on Seinfeld. Not really a Rock Star - but funny all the same.
