Tuesday, May 13th, 2008This past weekend the Jack Nation Countdown was pre-empted…..with good reason. It usually runs at 4pm on Saturdays. City TV was running a telethon to raise money for the survivors of the catastrophic cyclone that hit Myanmar last week. Their government says teh official death toll is somewhere around 33 000 people. The UN believes 100 000 is more likely the actual number. Between that and the giant quake in China and the thousands dead there, rising gas prices don’t seem nearly as important, do they?
