The “Lowedown”…

neilelaine.jpg

We’re continuing to post pics of your ’sweet rides’….thanks for all the email and pics….this is Neil and his wife Elaine.  Here’s the email that accompanied the pic.  Thanks, Neil.

Samantha:I emailed you about a ride. My Harley babe and I got married and sailed off to the reception on our Harley Davidsons. Post picture if you want of Biker Neil & Harley Babe ‘Elaine’. Incidentally we met on line as I saw her on her bike and fell in love instantly.Cheers…Neil

The link above is the one I reference in the Jack Nation Countdown….it’s  REM with their appearance on Sesame Street.  It’s pretty funny.  They’re singing ‘Furry, Happy Monsters’ to their ‘Shiny, Happy People’ hit. I’ll post the extra bonus codes on here from both countdowns a little later today.

Wow, what an annoying font this is……:)

We’re out on location this morning at Lowe’s in Brampton.  370 Kennedy Road South is the location we’re at. Lowe’s are having ’spring celebrations’ at all of their stores.  Hope to see you if you have a chance.   Thanks for stopping by!Samantha

Hi Samantha, I am planning to pick a few things up at Lowe’s in Brampton hope to see you. Do you have any stickers to post my favorite radio station! I thank you for leaving the message on my voicemail at Sunrise Medical Canada for the work salute.

    Take care
    Ken K

Yes, it IS an annoying font! Actually, the font ain’t that bad, but it’s the size of it and it’s how the words are all touching the lines above and below it.

I’m sorry I couldn’t make it out to the Lowe’s in Brampton. At least I was able to get some extra points from you a couple weeks ago at the Princess Margaret lottery houses in Woodbridge. Thanks so much for those! But I think with the good weather upon us, you guys should do more remotes with different announcers so we can meet y’all. Of course, you would need the advertisers to pay for the remotes first, right?

Mailman Scott from Northwest Brampton here!
Great to see you in the Lowe’s on Sat!
Too bad it was raining, or you could have rode that yellow crotch rocket of yours and saved the company some $ on fuel!
You told me and my littlest of 3 ; Liam; you have to use premium, so the sound byte on the Countdown must have cost you at least $6 just to warm up the bike, to get the reving sound at the start of it!
Keep the bill! You should really update the shot on your blog to show how great you really look; maybe a shot of you in your leathers, ready for a blast up to the Forks and beyond?
My days as a 2 wheeler are gone, but my 3 boys and myself like to cruise in the Mustang, windows down and flying(when poss!) up the hiway!
And as K.K. asked, where are the window stickers!?
I took and old Q107 antenna ball and repainted it with the Jack logo, just to have something to do this long winter.
When the summer tires go on the car, so does the ball.
Talk to the powers that be and get some stuff out there; I saw a Jack window sticker from somewhere else in the country on a rusty old Ford minivan; most of your listeners can at least beat that premium unit for looks and style! Keep on rockin in OUR free world!!! PLAY!

I’m looking forward to getting the weekend’s bonus codes. It sounds like you had an especially busy weekend.

  6. Jim Davies Says:

    Hi Samantha,

I missed the codes over the weekend. I was listening as usual, but was sidetracked frequently. You said on Saturday’s blog that you would repost them later. I am sure you got busy too. I teach at Mineola Public School in Port Credit and we listen to Jack all day long in class. It is mostly you and Jeff, because of the time. I have had parents in the past ask me how their kids were learning so much about rock. After almost seven years here, it is only when the music isn’t on in the class that people question it. Even the principal stops in and hears the great music at times. Great music, happy kids(3&4), makes my days go so smoothly. Thanks Samantha and the Jack Nation. Have a great week.
    Jim
