Use the word ‘peeps’ for some extra points.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions, I’ll post them on here.

One of my favorite Easter treats…..I can’t remember the exact name of the Chocolate Rabbit….but it had the Rice crispies inside…..mmmmm….I think it was called Jack Crisp??

Another is the Hershey Egg in the yellow wrapper!

  2. Lorraine Says:

When I was younger My grandmother would buy me the huge kinder chocolate eggs that had all the nice shinny wrapping lol and in the cup the egg sits on would be a toy.. That was the best. :)

  3. Lorraine Says:

    oh and also Mr. Munchy

  4. Sharon Says:

White chocolate bunnies and the chocolate eggs with smarties in the middle.

  5. Janice Says:

Hey Sam: My favorite treat was anything chocolate eg. bunnies, eggs and I always received one big hollow rabbit. I really hated the coloured eggs with the white filling. I can remember telling my Mother how I hated those eggs and why would the Easter bunny bring them? But I still got them every year and I would try to make deals with my younger brother for chocolate. It worked the first few times, then he realized that the chocolate stuff was so much better than the hard eggs with the white filling.

  6. Pam Says:

My fav. was the Laura Secord easter cream egg. Its very sweet, but the best!

  7. Liisa Says:

Even at 40 (I will 41 on April 6th), my fav Easter treat is still Easter Creme eggs; I too love the clicking rabbit on theTV commercial, 2nd fav are gummy rabbits from walmart. Good thing I have 3 nephews, so always lots of Easter candy in the house. I also wonder if anyone in Toronto remembers the Clayton’s Candy store in the east end of Toronto (Queen street and Jones area I think), they always had a really great Easter window with spectacular choclate bunnies amd marzipan chicks.

  8. Richard Says:

Robin Eggs but now my favorite is Cadbury Mini Eggs.

  9. mark Says:

  10. Brendan Says:

Forget the chocolates, how about the big Turkey leg?

    Happy Easter Samantha!

  11. Lisa Desjarlais Says:

Cadbury Mini Eggs!!!! and I say that like Homer Simpson saying
    “beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer”

  12. Heather Says:

Laura Secord cream eggs…the ones with the ‘whites and yolk’ in the middle…although the chocolate cream with nuts are really good too!
Carving off a slice of one of those eggs was a real big deal when I was a kid!
I even saw tiny LS cream eggs in the store the other day - so you could eat several!

  13. Julian Says:

I’m Jewish, but thought I would comment as we all love sweets and chocolate. I totally love the sold milk chocolate generic easter bunnies. I know it is old school and totally Food Basics, but there is nothing like cheap solid milk chocolate. Also love the oh henry easter chocolates and can’t go wrong with the creme eggs.

  14. Hedgehog69 Says:

The white chocolate rabbitts were my fav with rice krispies in it.

  15. Janis Says:

TOTALLY Dark Lindor Bunnies in the gold wrapper with the bell!!
but my folks would do the egg hunt with notes all over the house; we LOVED it, and the BIG prize; new shoes for spring…..
Now, i buy all LINDT and Belgian chocolate…..and LOTS of Mars Bars…

  16. Lee Ann Says:

Sam when it comes to sweets, in particular chocolate, I have a hard time picking just one (hey if you’re ever in Stratford you HAVE to go to a place on the Main St. called Chocolate Barr’s-run by a guy who’s last name happens to be Barr, coinky dink huh?)…anyhoo, I digress…my favourite easter treat has fast become Cadbury’s mini eggs, or any thing white chocolate :D yummo!

    Hoppy Easter!!!!

  17. Linda Says:

jelly beans and white chocolate bunnies

  18. John karek Says:

As far as an easter treat….the only thing I could think was sweet enough, and wouldn’ rot my teeth would be you. Second, I would have to pick Easter Cream Eggs.

    Cheers,

  19. Louie Says:

You made me laugh with that word “candie,” Sam! It’s all good though. Everyone is entitled to a spelling mistake every now and then, right? Even I do it sometimes, and I’ve been called the spelling police.

I think anything chocolate is a good treat, except those ones with fruit inside them like cherries or liquor. Sure, liquor is good, but on its own.

  20. Charlene Says:

Laura Secord Egg, loved it when I was a kid, it’s just to sweet for me now.

  21. Bob-Sam's#1 Fan Says:

    Hi Sam,

Love the cream eggs and the little eggs that are candy coated with the maltese balls in the middle.

    Bob

  22. Penny Says:

I agree with Sharon - the eggs with smarties (or jelly tots) in the middle.

  23. April Says:

When I was young my Mom used to hide all the normal Easter things but we always got a “Laura Secord” easter egg with the yellow and white trim inside the chocolate shell!! NOW, I couldn’t even eat 2 bites as they are so rich!!! I have to admit, I loved the small eggs wrapped in foil because they were so shiny!!!

  24. Theresa Says:

White Chocolate Bunny and lily put eggs, hidden all around the house

  25. mike Says:

living in england, we loved easter, 3 of my aunts worked for cadburys so we had easter chocolate for months after. creme eggs were and still are my favourite. sam if your ever near a british shop, and you like chocolate, try a milky bar or a galaxy bar. youll love them

  26. Dennis MacIntyre Says:

My Mom used to go to Woolworth’s, yes my age is showing there, and we used to get these hollow eggs, with our names freshly Signed on the top of the egg, all packaged in a need 6″ x 6″ box.

  27. Nancy Wylie Says:

When we were kids, we had to hunt for the little eggs that the Easter Bunny left in the living & dining rooms, & then we always had a solid chocolate bunny at the very end (love any kind of chocolate!). Now that I have 2 girls of my own, that same tradition has been carried on. And I also buy myself an Easter Creme Egg, as they’re sooo yummy (love the clucking bunny too)!

  28. BarbH Says:

My fav memory is lining up to get your name written in white icing on a hollow chocolate easter egg the size of an ostrich’s egg. It was just cheap chocolate and tasteless icing, but who cared? It had MY name on it! And that meant I didn’t have to share it with my brother or sister (which was probably the best thing…). Also, Laura Secord made peanut butter eggs the same size as the creme ones, which I liked better than the creme ones, but since you can’t get them anymore, Reese’s peanut butter eggs are a good replacement. Man, am I dating myself or what? BTW, I’m with all those who think the Cadbury mini-eggs are the best - better than Eggies!

  29. Nan Says:

DEFINATELY….Laura Secord….Eggs! O M G ! These are the BEST!!!! As Heather says slicing these babies up was so exciting! I can still remember it as yesterday! In my 40’s now, I give my kids these for Easter and yes they are HOOKED! Okay, now I have to run to the store to stock up! There goes my diet!!!! HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!

  30. Kevin Says:

A milk carton of those chocolate covered sponge toffees, I think they are called Malties

  31. Bubba Says:

At my house, the Easter Bunny used to hide toast. I don’t think the Easter Bunny liked poor kids.

  32. Tom Says:

How about some vintage Cinderella, Dokken, Dio for sure!!!!

    Thanks Sam your da best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
