Le Blog and a couple emails….
I was just in the process of preparing to update my blog…before doing that, I checked your ‘comment email’ that comes thru my blog…here’s what Sandra and Robert wrote:

Hey what’s up with your blog? You haven’t been updating your blog everyday - you used to be the only one that always had bonus codes for points. Are you feeling alright lately - is Jeff Brown rubbing off on you in this department - just checking.
No, not in a blogging contest with Brown….just a little busy of late. We’ve got a little bit going on at the station. There’s two countdowns to be written and recorded, plus the taping of the tv Jack Nation Countdown…..so by Thursday, I’ve really had enough of composing something on my pc….hence the lack of blogs of late….
I’ll update this tomorrow (Sat) with the code from the Jack Nation Countdown.
Andrew Burns is the dude helping me with all the countdown stuff…writing et al….he’s awesome….even though he enjoyed ‘The Spice Girls’ concert a couple nights ago….be sure to keep an eye on his blog for all things music…and bonus codes:)

…Good Morning! the code for this weekend’s Countdown is ‘grammy’. We’re giving a bonus code away on the tv version of our countdown today, too. It’s for Bon Jovi tix and the show is on at 1pm on CITY TV…we’re still going through some growing pains on the tv end, so, be kind if you get a chance to see it. Next weekend we have Iron Maiden tix on the tv show….wicked eh?
My sis is getting married in June, so, I’m off to do some ‘dress shopping’….exciting eh? ha. Not so much. Enjoy ‘Hockey Day in Canada’!!

No worries on the lack of blogging - I got the simple answer for ya - just post a bonus code every day - I don’t think anyone would mind the absence of more.
NOW, I am not saying I don’t want to read your blog and see what you have to say, BUT, I MUCH RATHER listen to you wonderful voice on air and watch you on TV!

Sam: These people are just being greedy. I was lucky enough to get 5000 points on Monday, but am still lamenting last Friday when I could not get to a computer in 5 minutes (busy shovelling snow) so I missed out. Blow your own horn a little; 5000 points makes up for quite a few days of no blog.

That’s nice that you’re posting the bonus code on Saturday, but some of us do not have access to computers on weekends so unless you’ve going to leave it valid until Monday at midnight, it doesn’t really help.

Blogs should not be simply about another way to accumulate points. Neither should viewing/posting statistics be relevent; obviously some people seem more concerned about acquiring codes.
Perhaps you should devote your blog time, when available, to the efforts and issues associated with putting together your audio and video countdown shows; that would be interesting to read.
I enjoy the shows, but they are not really broadcast at times that are good on weekend (then again is there ever a good time on the weekend).

I agree with Paul B. Your far too busy now with the show, so we’d understand if you could just manage to give us a bonus code!!

I’m with Alan R.I managed to score the 5,000 points on Monday but missed
Friday’s points had to do that working thing.I’ll take big points once in a while from you.It’s still better than the measly 100 points we get from
Carly,Andrew,Jeff B.,and Mike.You just continue to do what you do best
entertaining us on the radio and now the tv.I would still listen to you if didn’t get any points! As i have told you many times you are Toronto’s

April, we did a ‘points blast’ where we gave a code that was good for 5 mins and worth 5000 points. I’ll do it again next week.

I have an idea for your countdown. How about having a spot next to your countdown songs that enable you to listen to each song before you can vote for your favourite. It’s hard to remember the song with the titles listed when you’re voting.

When do you do your 5,000 points blast as my husband works the late, late shift, so we aren’t up until the afternoon, so we miss you on the radio in the a.m.? I suppose that is when you give the bonus code? Any suggestions Sam? Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that work late shifts and therfore they aren’t able to ge the bonus codes etc. I wish they had bonus codes for the masses who work late at night as it’s unfair to only cater to the 9-5 people, don’t you think?

Poor Andrew is getting ripped everywhich way for that Spice girls concert.
He was being a good husband and accomanying his wife to a show that she wanted to see. Then again he did want to see it as well. Maybe he should get ripped for it then. Sam if someone asked you asked you to accompany them to see spice girls would you go ?

Hey April….there’s always extra codes on the blogs and one with the countdown on the weekend. I’m only here 9-3….I can’t do anything beyond that time frame for extra points…as far as the late, late shift goes, there’s no one ‘live’ at Jack anyway….sorry, can’t help you there.
Yes, Joseph, Andrew was being a good husband….and, Joseph, no, I wouldn’t attend the Spice Girls show. I’d have to lose a bet to go to a show like that.
