Hamilton Haircut…..

nicemullet.jpg

Nice hair Trev…..that’s my bro-in-law and his sis Cheri.  It’s a ‘picture of a picture’.  I took it at their parents home during one of our family gatherings.  That’s a really great mullet.  I’ve been threatening to use this at work for some time now.  Now seems appropriate.  Everyone has a hairstyle they’re not proud of.  I’ll look to see if I can find an example of one of mine.  I looked like I was in a personal competition with Bon Jovi or Whitesnake.  I had big, ass crazy rocker hair.  We were thinking under the current climate of Hamilton bashing that we could rename the mullet….for one weekend only…..’The Hamilton Haircut’…..it won’t be an expression as of Monday ( I promise Hamilton, it’s good natured teasing)…..hey, I’m grom Guelph, I’ve been taking it all my life;)

hamiltonhaircut is worth 100 Jack Nation Points.

The deadline for winning one of the six Hyundai’s we have is 11:59 Sunday night, as is the Jack FM Bon Jovi ‘Rocktail’ party.

Jeff Chalmers will be at the Hide House (King and Spadina) on Saturday from Noon till 4.  Go see him to score 2500 Jack Nation points….and while you’re there, check out Enzo’s feet….seriously, ask him what size they are……

Have a terrific weekend…..don’t forget the Jack Nation Countdown.  It runs Sat morning at 8, Sat night at 10 and Sunday evening at 6.  There’s a 1000 point bonus code in it, but, since you’ve taken the time to read this far, it’s ‘golddigger’.  Go win something awesome with it:)

See ya on the radio……

Sam

    Hey Sam…

I’m in my late 30’s and just made my FIRST trip out to Hamilton earlier this month to “Hot Night In The City”. The fundraiser was hosted by Hamilton’s Firefighters….and let me tell you, they were HOT, HOT, HOT!

Aren’t Jeff’s mullets hilarious? I think so. I was at Canadian Tire in Mississauga one time many years ago on a Sunday night and there was an old car show (rally??). You know the ones I mean that seem to travel around to the various mall and plaza parking lots like a three-ring circus? Anyway, I saw this woman in a jean jacket, jeans, black boots, and a long mullet. Beside her was a little girl (maybe 7 or 8), with a jean jacket, jeans, black boots and a mullet. Yeah, a real mini-me even before the phrase was coined. I wish I had a camera. LOL.

Hamilton? Guelph? I got you beat! I’m originally from Brantford. We went to Hamilton for excitement. Go ‘home’ sometimes. Nice to see the spiral perm never really went out of fashion.

Naivety sometimes rules. In the late eighties I asked for a hair cut that was short on top and long in the back and never was aware that it was called a ‘Mullet’.
My head hair has gone through many transformations since then but I still see the ‘Mullet’ alive and well on a few TTC drivers. Is the ‘Mullet’ coming back or has it never left?
Fashions seem to evolve every twenty years or so, is it time for the “Mullet’ again?
