If I was a turkey (insert joke here), this would be the time of year that I learned to bark….we’re doing dinner on Saturday so my sis and I can hit the Van Halen show Sunday evening.  If I eat enough I may have to go alone, two seats, all to myself….congrats to all of our Jack Nation members who are coming to the show! Hope to see you there.  Carly, from Jeff and Carly (3-6, Monday to Friday) will be there too. 

I’m hoping to do something Oktoberfest-ish this weekend, that was the plan for this evening….as I write this though, that may change….some folks from the station are celebrating ‘Alexander Keith’s’ bday over at the Black Bull….and I hear my name being called….so many beers, so little time:)

 I’m just about out for the day, another Zeppelin bonus code and a few more tunes and as Jim Rome would say I’m ‘out’….so, I’ll wish you a lovely, restful, eat-too-much-with-people-you-love kinda weekend….and, to my friend A, who just lost his Dad earlier this week…I’m thinking of you.  Call when it’s time for a beer. 

One last thing…….Did you manage to get all the Led Zep bonus codes for the draw?   These are all the ones that I had, they’re good till 11:59pm Sunday night.  Good luck….and don’t forget, Springsteen ticket blowout on Tuesday.

Tada!  Thursday’s here already…..I’ve had one of those weeks that just blow by.  Not really a problem, except no time to enjoy how amazing the weather has been.  I was trying to recall if it was this warm last year at this time….my marker for memory, beer.  Shocking…..lemme explain, Oktoberfest in Kitchener starts the Friday before Thanksgiving.  I attended a media/beer thing last year on this day.  It was crazy hot…the beer was nice and cold though.  Oktoberfest is a terrific time.  If you haven’t been and plan to go, be certain to check ahead for ticket availability.  Many of the Fest halls sell out way in advance.  It’s a big, fat deal in the Kdub region.  Oktoberfest sausage, sauerkraut, beer and a lot of friendly people.  It’s a great time.  I’m going to try and hit a few places Friday night…

Photos…..I took a bunch of the studio and inside the station to show you.  I’m using a different camera than I have previously.  I put the cd prgram/installer-thingamahoo in a really safe place…..The thing I need to download the pics off my camera.  Y’know, so safe I can’t find the friggin’ thing.  Awesome.  I’m sure I’ll trip over it during the weekend.

So, we seem to be set up with blogs now…..it’ll be a day or two before I figure out how to upload all sorts of pics et al….I’ll post some pics of the studio so I can show you around the station.  It’s a pretty cool place.  It’s a little bit Hollywood, there are 4 stations in the building, The Fan 590, 680 News, CHFI and us, Jack.  We’re kind of like the pain-in-the-ass little brother…..each station has it’s own hallway, with different coloured lights…and, our pictures are up on the walls.  It’s a little weird to see.  It’s a running joke that people come in and look to see who’s pic is missing….usually if it’s gone, so are you….so far mine is still there…
