It’s all over the internets today…I was talking about it earlier and here is the video of why millions of people are going to speculate if American Idol is really scripted or not.
What do you think? Mistake? Scripted? Alcohol?
A few things today…including points
April 30th, 2008 by rob.michaels
Alright there are a few things I want to share with you in this one post. First off, thanks for the comments and emails about the new Coldplay song. I personally don’t think it’s their best song, BUT it is pretty good and I’m really excited to see them at the end of July in Pemberton. Ok, so…have you heard of Frozen in Grand Central Station?? My cousin Chrystal sent me this which features over 200 people who freeze in place on cue in Grand Central Station in New York. This is one of over 70 different missions Improv Everywhere has executed over the past 6 years in New York City. Other include the No Pants Subway Ride, the Best Buy uniform prak and the famous U2 Rooftop Hoax…Check out this video from Grand Central Station.

Uncle Teddy Rogers announced the big news yesterday morning in a press release “We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.” Now I’ve been doing my research and there is going to be an iPhone update due this summer. So, will we get version 2.0 or the original?
The new update that comes this summer provides 32GB of memory and rumours are it will cost you upwards of $699 US. How much is it going to be in Canada? Hmm…Let’s hope Ted Rogers can swing us a deal, othwerwise I think my pockets will be full with a seperate phone and ipod. If you’re looking for some points today, perhaps you should try type in the name of the man who made the announcement yesterday morning…minus the uncle part.

Stuck in an Elevator
April 28th, 2008 by rob.michaels
We’ve all gotten into an elevator and thought to ourselves, or out loud…”Imagine if this thing breaks down?” Well I came across a story in which a guy was trapped in an elevator for 41 hours before being rescued…heck before anyone even knew he was in there. Yes, there were security cameras set up in the elevator, but I guess people weren’t paying enough attention to notice a man in there. He said he could hear people from time to time walking by, but nobody seemed to acknowledge he was stuck. Check out this video…
In other news…Gold Diggers, the goldmine has been updated with some great stuff so go check it out and stayed tuned in exactly 1 week for a Mountain FM’s biggest Adventure Getaway EVER!!! You need some points so go put in the word BIG for some points to help you in the Gold Mine!!
Email Signature
April 23rd, 2008 by rob.michaels
So I got an email a few weeks ago and it had this very cool signature
What a great idea so I decided to add it to my signature on all of my outgoing mail from work and my personal addres!!
It’s quite easy to get on your signature too, just follow these instructions from google…
To add this to your emails you’ll first need to setup a HTML signature (Google can help you out on how to do that), then to add the following to it :
<font color=”#006600″ face=”Webdings” size=”+3″>P</font><font color=”#006600″> <strong>Please consider the environment before printing this email.</strong></font>
Earth Day is TODAY!
April 22nd, 2008 by rob.michaels
Alright so you want to be more green, but you don’t know where to start. You already recycle, but is that enough? Well every little bit counts, however it doesn’t hurt to do little things like lowering your thermostat or unplugging seldom-used appliances. Maybe you bought an Energy Star-qualified commercial dishwasher and are saving an estimated $200 per year, according to the Department of Energy. Those that took home an Energy Star refrigerator can look forward to a 15% less expensive monthly electricity bill.
So I thought one way that you could start to be more green is to find out how non-green you are. What is your carbon footprint? Quickly calculate your carbon footprint, or the amount of greenhouse gases in units of carbon dioxide, you’re producing by using the following formula:
A.) Multiply your monthly electricity bill by 105
B.) Multiply your monthly gas bill by 105
C.) Multiply your monthly oil bill by 113
(if you don’t use either B or C, enter 0.)
D.) Multiply total yearly mileage by .79
E.) Multiply the number of flights–4 hours or less–by 1,100
F.) Multiply the number of flights–4 hours or more–by 4,400
G.) Do you recycle newspaper? If no, add 184. If yes, add 0.
H.) Do you recycle aluminum and tin? If no, add 166. If yes, add 0.
A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H = your carbon footprint. A number below 6,000 (reflected in pounds per year) is excellent. Over 22,000? Not so great. Good is anywhere from 6,000 to 15,999, while 16,000 to 22,000 is average.
If your number is higher than you would like, there’s good news–there are hundreds of ways you can shrink your carbon footprint, and many of them aren’t as sacrificial as you might expect.
What is your carbon footprint? Figure it out

Hey, sorry I haven’t been posting anything lately. On Wednesday afternoon I picked up my parents at YVR and have been touring them around Squamish. They were only here once before about 4 years for a quick visit and GOSH everything has changed so much that it’s like showing them everything all over again. Either that or their memory is slipping a little…which it probably is…love you mom. Anyways this afternoon the tour consists of a trip to Whistler to catch the hoopla of the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival. Then tomorrow we’re heading to Vancouver Island for the weekend, a place they have never been to before. I’m hoping the weather is nice, but we’ll see.
It’s always nice to see the parental units as I only get to see them once or twice a year! Hey don’t forget that Tuesday is Earth Day and check your emails this weekend for the newsletter for weekend points. AND listen Monday morning at 7:15am for the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!YAHOOOO
mommy and daddy will get you some points today in the goldmine!

Melanie Coles, a young web designer and artist, has set out to stimulate an intriguing viral game. She has hidden a huge painting on a rooftop somewhere in Vancouver, and is inviting people to look for it on Google Earth.
I always use to (still do) read the Where’s Waldo books. They are fantastic and fun for kids. This is the 2000’s version of where’s waldo! Plug in waldo for extra points today and check out the video below!
Enjoy the first weekend of the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival!! And FIND WALDO
