Happy Easter !!

I’m so glad that I can blog and let out some steam on the weekend. It’s Sunday morning and I’m watching Roadhouse with the Swayzinator. But that’s not what this is about…this is about what happened to me yesterday. My good friend Jake is going on vacation with his gf next week to the Dominican and he needed some new sunglasses. We bolt down to Park Royal and hit up the sunglass hut for a new sunglass purchase and then hit up Future Shop to fill our technological nerd needs. Our stomachs are rumbling so what better to do than hit up the local Denny’s. I’ll be honest, I’m a fan of Denny’s and I think that I have a slight addiction to their Mini Burgers with Onion Rings…until now. We walk in, order an iced tea and she gives us each a menu. There is no need to open my menu as I always get the Mini Burgs. Minutes later she comes back and Jake orders a club. When it comes time for me to order, I look her in the eye and simply say…”mini burgers please and a side of ranch.” I’m pretty good at ordering this since I get the same thing every time; ranch is for dipping the onion rings…mmm. Ok so anyways, she returns a look into my eyes, thinks a minute and says, “what?” Now to make a long story short, she had NO idea what the mini burgers were. I quickly riffled through the menu to the starters section and they weren’t there. It hurts me to say it, but the Mini Burgers are no longer available at Denny’s. Now I don’t know if it is all Denny’s or just the one in North Van, but gosh! Unbelievable. One of the cooks said they took it off the menu. I referred to it at the flagship and told him it can’t be true. Apparently he wasn’t a fan like I was. Apparently nobody was a fan like I was since they are GONE. Now I have to find a few love on the Denny’s Menu and I’ll tell you this…it won’t be easy!
