If you are a parent for a young girl, or even a young girl yourself, you want to tune in on Thursday Oct. 16th from 8 to 9am.  Kate Whitfield will be my co-host and is releasing her book called The Empowered Gal’s 9 Life Lessons.  It’s mostly for girls who are 11-17 and is like a conversation with an older, wiser, best friend, and contains tips, strategies and advice that offer real life, powerful insight into the struggles teen girls face today and proactive ways in which they can do better and be greater. It empowers girls to make the right decisions, and gives them the inside scoop on everything to do with being a girl in the ’00’s, from dating and relationships to school, career and giving back, as only somebody who was “just there” could do. It’s a fun “must read” for teen girls and parents alike.

egal-book.jpgKate will be joining me live in the studio on Thursday Oct. 16th to talk about being a teenage girl in the 00’s and provide insight for young girls and their parents.  If you have a question for Kate, email me at rob.michaels@rci.rogers.com  We’ll also be giving away a few copies of her new book.

Kate has travelled all over North America speaking to girls at schools, organizations and events about body image, self esteem, confidence, career success, sisterhood and bullying, leadership and so much more. Kate offers a range of workshops and keynotes for girls that are innovative, high energy, interactive and motivational. She is a frequent guest speaker at many high school events and gets invited back year after year. She is an expert on all things gal, and is at a unique advantage to connect with and inspire your students based on her age and accomplishments.

I’m excited to have her in the studio and please feel free to send questions that you might have for her that we can take on the air confidentially.  Do you have a daughter and always wanted to know something, Kate can definitely help you out.  For more information on Kate and her book, click here!
