Myanmar

I stole this post from Ted because I think it’s a worthy cause!!!
I’m sure I don’t need to insert pictures or tell you about what’s going on in Myanmar right now. A lot of people could really use some help and it looks like things are getting settled so they’ll be able to get it. Here are a couple links to sites where you can donate to cyclone victims.

Madonna vs. Swollen Members vs. Crazy
May 8th, 2008 by rob.michaels
Alright a few things for the blog today, first off…MADONNA!!!
She’s finally coming to Vancouver. The closest she’s come to performing in Vancouver was a 1988 Seattle show. I’m pretty excited that we’ve finally made the cut. The show is going to be at BC Place Stadium on October 30th and tickets go on sale May 24th. I know, I know…BC Place Stadium, but it’s Madonna AND it’s the day before Halloween.
Madonna - BC Place Stadium - Tickets May 24th $55 - $350
A few weeks ago, Swollen Members were in Whistler with Gene Simmons for a show at Garf’s. It was a ton of fun and I want to give a shout out to Adera who works at one of our sister stations in Vancouver. She was at the show and took a cam and mic behind the scenes, check out the video below.
AND finally, I played a bit of this song earlier this morning and got a bunch of calls about it, thought I would post the video for your enjoyment. His name is Ray LaMontagne and he’s covering Crazy which is originally done by Gnarls Barkley.
To get points this morning, you have to know what Adera’s last name is…can you find it?
Good luck and have fun…use your points wisely and keep it real!

Dark Knight out on July 18th
May 6th, 2008 by rob.michaels
By now, I’m sure you know that I’m what some would call a geek. I like movies that would fall into a ’super hero’ category. I like the spidermans, batmans and other various comic books characters that have been turned into big screen adventures. However, I don’t think I’ve been as excited for a super hero movie before as I am for the new batman film, Dark Knight. From the previews that I’ve seen, it looks amazing and I’ll be sitting on the edge of my seat for the next few months before it comes out. Check out the latest trailer below and dark knight will get you points today
Prank Friday
May 2nd, 2008 by rob.michaels
I had gotten an email a few days ago from a girl named Natasha who said she liked when I use to prank people. Natasha asked how come I don’t know it anymore and I can’t say I really have a good response to that. Why did I stop? No particular reason, I guess I just ran out of ideas and people to prank. This is one a did a long time ago and it got my mind juices flowing again and perhaps I’ll work on some new ideas to prank our friends of the world! Check this one out…
the type of the animal featured in this prank will get you a TON of points…
Canadian Olympic Clothing for Beijing ‘08
May 2nd, 2008 by rob.michaels
WOW, have you seen the Olympic clothing that our athletes will be sporting in the Beijing Olympics? haha oh my god or omg as the kids are saying. I’m going to be completely honest with you, I respect the fact that the designers are trying to be unique and I like some of the clothes, however there are a few items that resemble something most people would wear in bed.
What are your thoughts on the Canadian Olympic Clothing? Leave comments below.

It’s all over the internets today…I was talking about it earlier and here is the video of why millions of people are going to speculate if American Idol is really scripted or not.
What do you think? Mistake? Scripted? Alcohol?
A few things today…including points
April 30th, 2008 by rob.michaels
Alright there are a few things I want to share with you in this one post. First off, thanks for the comments and emails about the new Coldplay song. I personally don’t think it’s their best song, BUT it is pretty good and I’m really excited to see them at the end of July in Pemberton. Ok, so…have you heard of Frozen in Grand Central Station?? My cousin Chrystal sent me this which features over 200 people who freeze in place on cue in Grand Central Station in New York. This is one of over 70 different missions Improv Everywhere has executed over the past 6 years in New York City. Other include the No Pants Subway Ride, the Best Buy uniform prak and the famous U2 Rooftop Hoax…Check out this video from Grand Central Station.

Uncle Teddy Rogers announced the big news yesterday morning in a press release “We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.” Now I’ve been doing my research and there is going to be an iPhone update due this summer. So, will we get version 2.0 or the original?
The new update that comes this summer provides 32GB of memory and rumours are it will cost you upwards of $699 US. How much is it going to be in Canada? Hmm…Let’s hope Ted Rogers can swing us a deal, othwerwise I think my pockets will be full with a seperate phone and ipod. If you’re looking for some points today, perhaps you should try type in the name of the man who made the announcement yesterday morning…minus the uncle part.
