Why let the truth get in the way of a good story?
Now that I’ve got a blog I thought it would be a good time to come clean on my bio that you can see at chez106.com. Most radio people who have bio’s completely lie in them or just steal them from someone whose way more famous then they will ever be. That’s not the case with mine..instead I figured I’d make it about 90% true.
To start it says I come from the nation’s smallest province..that’s true..PEI
After that it talks about me quitting hockey and telling the Columbus Blue Jackets I was too good to play for them….half true…I had a tryout offer from their farm team in Dayton Ohio but received the invite too late to get in shape to perform at my best so I said thanks but no thanks.( I was told I’d regret this later in life and now that Ray Emery makes 3 million a year I do)
Following that smart decision my bio says that I made another great one and started working at a pizza joint….that’s true…while I did hate the job I am thankful for it as it did set me on the path to CHEZ. There’s nothing like working a job you hate to get you thinking about what you would rather be doing.
The blurb also says that I gave away free pizza to those who could answer music trivia….that’s true too. It’s amazing what people will do for free pizza…one time I had probably 20 high school kids out on the sidewalk of Carling doing jumping jacks at lunch just to entertain myself by looking at the reaction of the people driving by.
Now comes the 10% of my bio that’s not true. It says that CHEZ found me and I don’t get paid other than free music downloads and movie premier passes. Between the pizza job and CHEZ I had about 3-4 years of school/drinking/playing in bands and drinking. I applied to work at CHEZ and they do pay me.
Now that we’ve got that cleared up look for more random Seinfeld like thoughts on life in general in my blog from day to day…oh by the way..the number that’s in the picture at the top of this thing is worth platinum nation points…along with the commentary i’ll do that from time to time as well.
Cheers,
Robin

This is an unrelated comment. I think that David Letterman sucks. He never lets anyone finish a sentence meaning that he is so full of himself that he doesn’t really care.
On the other hand, Leno comes across as a lot more genuine, in my opinion.
Cheers!

Six months of intensive training & strict diet ;with Roland Melanson and you would put Ray Emery out of a job. You’re great on the air but better between the pipes!!!!!You left -handed “Eddie Belfour”.

I find Leno a little too goofy..but everyone’s entitled to their opinion

I prefer Letterman myself but I would settle for either of their pay.

I can’t stand either of them…Leno is a giggling lapdog, and Letterman is just a bit too hung up on himself. That, and hen he makes a joke that doesn’t bomb, he repeats it ad nauseum.
If I’m up late, I’m watching the Daily Show. And the Colbert Report.
