Phil Collins’ latest divorce payment tops the lot!

Phil Collins’ ex-wife, Orianne Cevey, definitely has a leg up on Heather, milking a 25 million pound ($49,563,620.19 CAD) divorce payday from the soft-rocker, according to the Brit tabs. That tops the 24.3 million-pound payout that was awarded to Mills.  In fact, it’s the biggest payout of its kind ever in the UK.

“Marriage has certainly not come cheap for Phil,” a music industry source told the newspaper. He has now made two of the biggest divorce payments in showbiz history.

“At least no one can accuse him of leaving his ex-wives short.”

 

Chat show host Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia de Rossi are married following an intimate ceremony in the grounds of their LA home.

Fewer than 20 of the couple’s family and friends gathered at sunset for the civil service ceremony but the event attracted a swarm of press anxious to get a glimpse of the couple.

As they posed for official photographers, the loved-up pair were clearly enjoying their big day.

DeGeneres wore a loose-fitting white chiffon shirt, white waistcoast and trousers while de Rossi wore a cream and pale pink halterneck dress by designer Zac Posen.

 

The couple have been dating since December 2004 and DeGeneres announced her plans to wed her lover on her chat show in May.

It came after the California Supreme Court ruled that same sex couples have the right to wed.

When announcing the upcoming nuptials, DeGeneres said: ‘It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited.’

She joked: ‘Planning a wedding is very stressful. It’s crazy. My gardener is now invited.’

But added: ‘I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don’t all have the same rights.’

And with a huge smile lighting up her face as she strolled hand-in-hand at the Maui airport with her Cuban sound engineer beau Demacio Castellon, Nelly Furtado couldn’t have looked happier as their summer vacation came to an end.

Fiercly protective of her private life, she has yet to confirm the rumours of whether or not they tied the knot in Italy last month.

The mother of 4 year old daughter, Nevis, is currently working on her fourth album.

There’s already talk of a new animated movie coming out this fall called “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”.

And just like what happened with “101 Dalmations” and “Beethoven”… once your kids see those cute li’l chi’s on screen, they’re gonna want a chihuahua of their own!

Please think before you adopt.

As little as they are, chi’s can be a lot of work, and their inherent characteristics may not ultimately suit your lifestyle.

Right now, the Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport (CCRT) is running at capacity with the number of rescued chi’s they have on hand… all lovable little friends just waiting to find a forever home.

Katy Perry is tired of girls wanting to kiss her… so why not stop kissing them!!

This two-storey, three bedroom Ottawa house isn’t for sale - it’s being given away for free!!

“I’d like to call it my ultimate recycling project. I’d like to see the house get another chance,” said owner Ashley Mulroney, who held an open house in the Manor Park neighbourhood on Sunday.

“The view doesn’t come with the house, unfortunately,” Mulroney said.

In fact, neither do the lot or the basement.

Mulroney is giving away the house because she learned that renovating it to suit her would cost as much as building a new one on the property, so she chose the latter option.

“And I don’t think this house belongs in the dumpster. It’s got a lot of years of good life left in it.”

Mulroney said she will give the house to the first interested prospective homeowners who can prove they have land to put the house on within 100 kilometres of its current location. They also must be able to afford to move it.

The house is listed at Fullcircles Ottawa, a recycling website where people can offer used items for free.
