Scorching hot photos…. and more recently, scorching hot boys!!

The English soccer star reportedly ran into trouble in LA when the heated seats of his 4×4 car malfunctioned, jamming the heat on his genitals.

OUCH!!!!!

An onlooker told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “One minute he was tearing across Los Angeles, the next, he was rolling down his windows, panting and staring down at his crotch in horror.”

Of course, “There were lots of fans and paparazzi following him, making it even more difficult for him to sort out his boiling bits. He was gutted to be caught cushioning his seat from the hot leather.”

The Galaxy player has a game tomorrow… let’s see if he’s still “good to go”…

Cross your fingers (and curl your toes),  everyone!!!

Yesterday morning’s ordeal

truck1.jpg

If you were driving along Hunt Club yesterday morning and saw one of these bad boys stopped on the side of the road, well… that was my broken down car in front of it!!

My car died on the way in to work and, without power and 4-way hazard lights, a couple of soldiers thought it stood a good risk of getting rear-ended.

Big thanks to Private Mbenoun and Private Piche of the 28 Service Battalion for protecting me while I waited for CAA to arrive on the scene!!

I got to sit in the big WWII-era truck and see all the dials!! It’s like a cockpit in there! No wonder it takes so long (2-3 months) to get a driver’s license for one of those things!!

I’m gonna write to their boss, Sgt. Parent, with a detailed account of the privates’ good deeds!

Thanks also to EVERYONE who stopped to offer help! Especially that City of Ottawa guy who let me call in to Carter, Sandra & The Boyle on his cell phone to let ‘em know I’d be late – and for dropping me off at the nearest Timmy’s…  I REALLY NEEDED THAT!!

Ahhhhh… so much support in our fair city…

Here’s what our little friend is…

Thanks to Anne for identifying our little friend!!

The cecropia moth is one of the largest moths found in North America. It is a member of the Saturniidae family, or giant silk moths. It is found as far west as the Rocky Mountains and north into the maritime provinces of Canada.

The larvae of these moths are most commonly found on Maple trees, but they have been known to feed on Wild Cherry and Birch trees among many others.

Pests of the moths have become a huge problem. Pruning of trees and leaving outdoor lights on at night can also be detrimental to the polyphemus moths.

Differentiating between genders of this species is very easy. The most obvious difference is the plumose antennae. Males will have a very bushy antenna while females will have a moderately less bushy antenna. Another difference is that the females will be slightly larger in the abdomen due to carrying eggs. Male’s abdomens are also more angular than the female’s abdomens which are more rounded.

Show ‘n’ tell today at KISS FM

Walking into the KISS FM studios this morning, our IT guy, Christian, was standing out back with a big blue salad bowl…

Inside was possibly one of the biggest moths you’ll ever see in your life!!

Here’s the email Christian sent around the station:

You may have heard about the moth…

Breakfast for a crow was interrupted when 7 starlings chased him off what looked like a dead bird. Then I looked a little closer.

Our friend is now recuperating at the rear of the building…in a salad bowl underneath the bushes.

While many KISS Club VIPs were enjoying cocktails at the WAGW Sleepover at Brookstreet Saturday night, I had to pull my car over for fear that hailstones, some the size of ping-pong balls, would break thru my windshield!!

I’ve NEVER seen anything like that in my life!!

This weekend’s winner stars Debra Daniels!!

Debra has always wanted to go to New York City, but she’s never had the chance.

She used up all her points for this one, and even though she ALREADY SAW the movie on opening night, Debra’s looking forward to flying Porter Airlines, seeing it again, and taking a bite outta the Big Apple Sex-and-the-City-style!

She may even take the very same friend!

Congratulations again, Debra – and take a BIG bite outta the Big Apple for me!
