It's not like he was armed and dangerous....it's an airport after all. I think anyone that has been stuck in an airport for 10 hours without being able to communicate with staff would eventually lose it. His mother was just outside the secure area. She wasn't allowed to enter to find her son since he was in the "safe" area. The "safe" area that ended up killing him. I agree with TheStar.ca that Robert Dziekanski is a victim of post 9/11 travel.
