So, the Buds begin training camp on Friday with medicals and then hit the ice for the first time with new coach, Ron Wilson on Saturday. How bad do you think the Leafs will be this year? Will a new coach make a difference? Will the team bottom out and finish last so they can grab John Tavares as the first overall pick in next year’s draft? Unfortunately, the Leafs organization is committed to running a business…not concerned with winning a championship. Toronto had a chance to bring Scotty Bowman as GM to the organization a few years ago but the Board knew that he would shake up the organization…and the Board didn’t want that…it’s no wonder the Leafs have yet to find a GM to replace interim GM Fletcher. If this situation existed in any other hockey city, the team would lose its fan base and support would diminish. But what can you say…Leaf supporters are plain stupid…I couldn’t believe that some fans actually slept overnight at the ACC in order to obtain free tickets to a Leaf pre-season game against Buffalo…yes, tickets were given FREE to all fans who will be attending that game…but it’s only a pre-season game…WHO CARES!! Fans should rather become disinterested in the team and when the organization sees that the people are not going to put up with this nonsense any more, maybe it will finally take the stance that it must put a serious contender on the ice. Anyway, I don’t see the Leafs making the playoffs again this season…I guess we have just got accustomed to season-to-season Leaf failures just as we have got accustomed to soaring gasoline prices…

We can always hope…like my Uncle (Buck) said, it sucks to be a sports fan in this city. True dat my brother, true dat! They’re heartbreakers, the lot. My money’s on the Raptors doing something big this year.

still bleed blue and white. IMO they’ll do better then people think. We probably wont make the playoffs but I doubt there gonna be as bad as many people think.
