The Guess Who

The Guess Who formed in 1963 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  In 1970, the Guess Who released the cuttingly sarcastic riff-rocker “American Woman,” which, given its anti-American putdowns, ironically became their only U.S. number one hit!  The album of the same name became their first U.S. Top Ten and first gold album, and the group performed for President and Mrs. Nixon and Prince Charles at the White House. (Pat Nixon requested that “American Woman” be dropped from the set list.)  The lineup from the Guess Who’s glory years reunited in 1983, and a version of the group with constantly shifting musicians (occasionally original members) continues to tour.

For a nice addition to your Jack Nation point account, who was responsible for breaking up The Guess Who in 1975?

A)  Burton Cummings

B)  Randy Bachman

C)  Yoko Ono

Hmm, was going to go with Yoko Ono, then thought perhaps Angelina Jolie (homewrecker that she is) but she wasn’t listed, so had to go with Burton Cummings. Thanks for keeping it interesting and comical.
And come on now Mike, surely you can give the “delusional” a glimmer of hope and give a loud and proud “Go Leafs Go” shout out, particuarly given I actually have box seats for next Saturday night and don’t own a Sabres jersey to wear for the game. LOL.
Careful drive home tonight - don’t want to pull a Simon & Gartfunkel and start Slip, Sliding Away. Perhaps you should crash that hotel room that Jeff Brown announced he was staying in downtown, leaving you there slaving away.
    Have yourself a great weekend!

Don’t know who to send this to - BUT - the bonus code in the jack
newsletter “spring ahead” is not working. Don’t know how long this
    code is good until.

Ill blame ANYTHING on Yoko Ono. Even if it’s not technically true.
