Are you ready for some football?

Well, the CFL’s Grey Cup weekend has finally arrived in Toronto and the overall consensus from all the folks visting from Western Canada is - Toronto is full of wussies.  Why?  Beacuse just after our first taste of winter, colder temperatures and a little snow, we sent out a cold weather alert and moved some of the street festivities indoors.  What’s next?  Are we gonna call in the army again?  To some folks from Saskatchewan and Manitoba, our current weather is what they call a heatwave!

Speaking of football, what do you think about the possibility of an NFL team relocating to Toronto?  Will it be a good thing?  Will it kill the CFL?

Have a great weekend.  Talk to ya tomorrow.

hi mike,i’m all for a nfl team in toronto.after spending the last 10 yrs being a season ticket holder for the cats,i ‘ve slowly lost interest in the cfl. but then again can you blame me! the cats have become the laughing stock of all football.let them play the u of t so they can finally break out of it’s loosing streak.

The good news is it can’t get any worse for the Cats. Bring on the NFL!

hi Mike, the CFL is just to exciting to replace it with the NFL
if we had “FOUR” downs we would never have to turn the ball over to the other team (snicker)
and the scoring just doesn’t stop, your’e never out of the game

Good points Vic. Personally, I like both leagues!

I would think that the CFL would only die if there were more NFL teams in Canada, but if there’s just one in Toronto, maybe the Argos would die. But I think both could co-exist in Toronto, since there still are a lot of Argos fans who hate the NFL, and definitely a lot of NFL fans who are dying for a team here.
