I had a great time on the May 2 - 4 weekend!!!!
I went to Kalamazoo Michigan to play in a baseball tournament with my friend Michelle Pembry, and we had an awesome road trip together. We left Toronto at 3pm Friday and arrived in Kalamazoo 6hrs later with no hiccups at all…UNTIL, we arrived at the hotel. We pulled in to have Michelle’s Jeep valet parked, and the driver’s window would not go up….and once we realized it needed to be seen by a mechanic, we proceeded to empty the truck of all our bags and ball equiptment so we could spend the first night in peace without worrying about our stuff being ripped off.
We got up Saturday, and brought the Jeep to the Dealership…which was only 3 blocks from the Hotel thankfully…and got the window fixed fast, but to the tune of 500 bucks…poor Michelle. The upside was, we got the Jeep back in time to make it to our first game at 10:30am.
When we got to the Diamond…we didn’t know anyone on our team (we were pick ups for the weekend)…but they were all a great bunch of people, and we had some good laughs and played some good ball with them all weekend. Don’t ask about our record because THAT was pitiful….but some of the games we played were hard fought and VERY close…which was fun! Sean was our team leader, and the rest of the roster filled out like this…Anita(1st base) , Jess, (picture happy) Lisa, Melissa..and her Man who were attached at the lips for the entire long weekend…get a room!!! 
Dan, Ian, Pembry, Me, Blaire (our Superstar player), and Darren Thompson…the only person who bothered to tell me their last name this weekend!! I’m impressed I remembered it, because he told me that at the bar Saturday night while I was drinking a new beer called Bud Lite Lime…which was very yummy, and Darren was drinking a big bottle of 5 dollar wine….I tell ya…”that ain’t right”!!!!!!!
Pembry and I got home yesterday at about 3pm…and I slept like 10 men last night. I needed to rest up because I’ve got volleyball tonight, baseball Thursday, and another ball tournament this weekend. Did I happen to mention…I’m lovin’ my life right now!
