Back To Reality
Wednesday, August 29th, 2007Turns out summer really is over…September arrives Saturday and the kids head back to class Tuesday. It means for most of us the summer vacations have wrapped up and we’re all starting to get a little more down to business.
My family is gearing up for the coming days of back to school hype.. we have the backpacks but still need to buy the lunchbags and get the “first day” outfits lined up. Our holidays are really over too.
We’re just back from five days in Quebec with stops in Montreal and Quebec City. It was an amazing trip.. great food…beautiful buildings and history.. the touristy Caleche ride.. and stops at La Citadelle, and the Biodome on the former Olympic site. The penguins alone are worth the trip to the Biodome!
We also saw first hand those cracks and quick repairs to the aging bridges in la belle province!
A stress specialist tells the Globe and Mail that planning for the increased workload is key to the so-called “September Shock” on the way.
We’re supposed to eat better and try to get more shut eye.. as we try to get the kids into a better back to school sleep routine.
Good luck - so far this hasn’t quite happened at our place!
Mmmmmm..I’m already dreaming of routine!
