A BIG applaud to all of you, what a great day of song, all somewhat related to this horific subject.
I was teary eyed quite a few times today, brought back memorie of my childhood, my mother was my fathers punching bag when he would come home from his daily drunk….he was an alcoholic…finally, when I was 7 my uncle (my moms brother) from Sudbury, drove and came and got us in the middle of the night to escape, of course, my father was dead drunk, didn’t suspect a f’n thing……he died 7 years later of scirosis of the liver and I was quite happy to see him gone and to know that he could never my mother again. I have never regretted feeling this way towards him, his bottle was more important than his family!
So, thanks for today!
