We are so sad to tell you, that this morning
Fort McMurray lost a great newsman. Michael Hall the Managing Editor of the Fort McMurray Today passed away at the age of 52. 

Michael came to the city from a weekly paper in Fort
Saskatchewan in 1994. He did many great things for this city and the Today He was even known to leave the newsroom and tackle a paper route when the paper was short staffed. 

Michael was a world traveller and a junkie for US politics. When it came to local news he was always on the hunt for the next story. 

He will be missed in the city, the newsroom and in the hearts of many 

Thank you Michael for the good, the bad, and the ugly
