The List of Good People

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Call me a HOMER but you have to think we have some super cool people in this city. A few names were in the news this weekend.

1- Trever Hess - Won a half marathon this past weekend in Tofino.  A half marathon is 26kms! That, my friend, is sweet!

2- Kevin Hego - Local hockey superstar - former MOB player, Asst Coach and Head coach/GM  -  Just got the call to take over asst coach of the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL. Great job coach! Have fun and send some scouts our way.

3-Austin Davis - Fort Mac’s spelling kid is back from the big bee and his Dad says he will be back on the big stage again next year. Mr. Davis also sends a big THANK YOU to the city for all the support.

4-Al Hancock - McMurrays Mountain Man.  He left Friday for the 6 summit. Follow Al up the hill at www.alhancock.com

There it is a list of 4 cool people.  Call this city what you want.  I call it “A City With Some Cool People”.

Just my 2 cents, catch ya tomorrow at 5:30!
