Dimitri “the lover”

July 11th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Check out these incredible real voice mail messages to a woman named Olga. They’re from a guy named “Dimitri” (who styles himself as a love guru) and you won’t believe the tactics he uses to pick-up women!

Does this guy have game…or is he lame? Listen to the messages then you decide.

So, game or lame? What do you think?

Redneck Tanktop

July 10th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Why people…WHY?!

Who looks at a pair of men’s undies and thinks “I can make a real nice tanktop out of this!” Would you ever in your life be caught dead wearing something like this? Do I even have to ask?

On the other hand, $6 for a three-pack IS a good deal!

(at least they were clean)

Best ad EVER!

July 4th, 2008 by jeffgraham

This is the funniest ad I’ve ever seen. It’s clever, unexpected and I love it. If you’re a sourpuss today, it’ll put a smile on your face guaranteed! (guarantee not a real guarantee)

See? Funny, eh?

WORST cover song of ALL TIME!

June 30th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Celine Dion doing AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long”  First, I can’t picture Celine or Rene Angelil shaking anybody all night long…and second: Why? Just…why?

Total Guitar magazine calls this a “sacrilege”…and I think they’re right. How about you? Great or hate?

A winner for the CANADA DAY Weekend!

June 27th, 2008 by jeffgraham

The true north strong and free, eh?!

Congratulations to Joanna Helmer! She’s just won a trip for two anywhere Westjet flies to celebrate the birth of our great country!

Don’t feel bad if you didn’t win. We “second placers” (sounds better than losers) can still celebrate Canada day, eh!

Gus is the WORLD’S UGLIEST DOG

June 24th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Gus may have been voted to the World’s Ugliest Dog 2008 title, but his family thinks he just beautiful!

Gus is missing one leg, one ear, one eye and has no hair. But what the pedigree Chinese crested dog doesn’t have in looks…he makes up for in loving personality.

Yeesh…that IS one ugly pooch! What do you think?

George Carlin: May 12, 1937 - June 22, 2008

June 23rd, 2008 by jeffgraham

This guy was sometimes controversial, political, always edgy and intelligent…most of all FUNNY!

If kids are in earshot, they may hear some of what Carlin referred to as the “7 dirty words” in this video.

One of the best.

RIP.

MAROON 5 winner is here!

June 20th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Congratulations to Karen Walsh! She’s off to see Maroon 5 with the Counting Crows and Sara Bareilles LIVE at the Molson Amphetheatre in Toronto!

Us losers can check out the making of Maroon 5 and Rihanna’s “If I Never See Your Face Again”… and stew in our envy of Karen.

Get the kids OFF the couch with the Goodlife Kids Foundation

June 17th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Do you think these kids should be playing outside?

Yeah, me too! So let’s do something about it! The Goodlife Kids Foundation can help! This is an incredible foundation who’s whole aim is to get kids active! On the playground, on the bike path or on the ball field. It doesn’t take alot of cash to be active, just the desire to have fun, to play and to be healthy!  Check this out:

Did you know that recent studies found that 3 out of 5 children 5 - 17 years are not active enough for optimal growth and development?  GoodLife Kids Foundation has a vision to change this, a vision for Healthy Fit Kids.  GoodLife Fitness Clubs is holding a company wide Be Someone’s Superhero 2008 campaign to help us fulfill our mission to reach the hearts and minds of kids…to inspire them to want to be fit and healthy.

Friday (June 20th) from 12 - 4pm, GoodLife Fitness Club at College Square (Baseline and Woodroffe) is hosting a fundraising BBQ with the proceeds supporting the GoodLife Kids Foundation. During the Superhero campaign we are asking you to be a superhero and support this club’s event. This year GoodLife Kids Foundation inspired nearly a million Canadian children ages 5 - 12 years to want to be fit and healthy.

Weird facts about the human body

June 16th, 2008 by jeffgraham

Thanks to Jo-Ann for sending this in.

We sure are fascinating creatures, aren’t we? Here are some strange factoids about the human body:

  • The largest cell in the human body is the female egg, and the smallest is the male sperm.
  • A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball.
  • It takes food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.
  • The average man’s penis is three times the length of his thumb.
  • A Woman’s heart beats faster than a man’s.
  • If the average male never shaved, his beard would be 13 feet long when he died.
  • There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.
  • Women blink twice as much as men.
  • The average person’s skin weighs twice as much as their brain.
  • When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate…they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate!
  • Your ears secrete more earwax when you are afraid than when you aren’t.
  • Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.
  • The average woman is 5 inches shorter than the average man.

Oh, hey guys…you looked at your thumb, right? Ha!
