Meet the Duggars…all 17.5 of ‘em!

These are the Duggars from Tontitown, Arkansas. There sure are alot of them. There’s going to be another one too because mama Dugger is PREGNANT AGAIN!

17 Dugger kids and Jim Bob and Michelle Dugger are expecting # 18 in the New Year! So far, all the kids names start with the letter “J”:

Josh (20), Jana (18), John-David (18), Jill (16), Jessa (15), Jinger (14), Joseph (13), Josiah (11), Joy-Anna (10), Jeremiah (9), Jedidiah (9), Jason (7), James (6), Justin (5), Jackson (3), Johanna (2)and Jennifer (9 months).

Now you can vote for your favorite “J” name! Click here for details…and pick “Jeff” (or the closest thing to it) wouldya?

In total, Michelle has been pregnant for 11 years of her life! I have a couple ideas for the next kids name…”Juststop”! “Justsayno”! “Jettheheckoffme”!

Is 18 kids taking things a little too far?

Are you kidding me? 18 kids?
I notice that’s quite the house behind them. I feel bad for that poor woman. Pregnant for 11 years of her life…must have been…uncomfortable!

  2. Lana Says:

Just because you can procreate and get pregnant doesn’t mean you always should… the kids must just walk out at this point…

  3. JAB Says:

You know what, I remember seeing the show of when they built that house and she was about to give birth to the baby girls she’s holding…….the father, the sons and some outside help, made that huge house, you should of seen where they were living before…!

Definitely, should put a number on how many kids you can have………they should tie her after this last one!

NO Jeff, I think we should write her, that’s just NOT right!

    jab:)

This is like something out of a Dr. Seuss Book. Do you suppose the Dugger’s are trying for World Domination???

But seriously, I agree with Lana. Just because you can…..doesn’t mean you should. In this day, it’s almost ‘unfair’ to have that many children.

  5. Sasha Says:

That’s insane!!! But they do look like a good family. It’s not like she is popping out babies and not taking care of them. But someone needs to get her on a makeover show… that hair needs a serious cut. Have they explained why all the names start with J’s? That part is a little creepy. I bet the 20 yr old couldn’t wait to leave home. Are they all home schooled or do they go to public school? I think I will need to google them.

I would have a problem if they were not well taken care of or if they were always looking for the community to give them hand outs, or living on welfare. They seem clean and well cared for.

It’s one thing to have children, but if you can’t financially/emotionally take care of them then you shouldn’t have more than you can handle.

Are these kids planning on going to College/University, and if so do the parents have the money to put them through school? Or will they continue to live a real simple life (not that there’s anything wrong with that), and have 18 kids of their own!! Where will the madness end???!!

  7. Heidi Says:

Wow and I’m tired with two! But you know, this is the way things used to be before rubbers and such. Looks like shes a good mom but WOW. What does he do for a living to be able to provide for them all?

  8. Erin Says:

I checked out their website… you can vote for a name for the new baby. Guess what… they all start with a J!!!

  9. jeffgraham Says:

    And no “Jeff”? WTF?

Jefferson is close enough…don’t forget to vote!

  10. JC Marleau Says:

As long as they can take care of them financially and emotionally, I don’t have a problem with this … I should know !!!! I come from a family of 18 myself …

I’m the forth youngest … the age ranges from 42 yrs old to 66 yrs old … not bad hey !!! my mom had a couple of years’ breather space in between pregnancies … LOL …. seriously … I congratulate my Mom for having the courage and patience to go through so many pregnancies and to raise that many kids … I have to congratulate my Dad also for being such a great man and for always being there for all of us kids … must not have been easy for them either …

On a lighter note … Let me tell you … it’s a blast when we meet at family gatherings … we’re over 110 people getting together !!!! wouldn’t trade my family for anything …. we have quite a special bond !!!

    HEY … these Franco-Ontarien families !!!!

  11. Scottie Says:

I’ve voted for Jefferson…like you say…it’s close enough!

  12. Zed Says:

I saw this family on the TV and they quite something!!!! I think if they can handle that many children then go for it. They are a very religious family and the kids are all home schooled as far as I could gather from the programme. I think the mother deserves a medal to have been pregnant so many times. Good luck to them I say. They are a bit odd with the names all beginning with a J though.

Jeff - you realize after the Drivers licence “issue” anything you put up on your blog is “suspect” - just teasing

I have a business associate who has 12 children - all named with names starting with “L”. For some reason when the 13th was born in December they had had enough of “L” names and called her “Noel” (No L).
