Harper/Bush Conspiracy Theory: Fizzles Out
I little while ago some of my listeners called me with a great concern. They talked about a “secret deal” between Mr. Bush and Mr. Harper that would allow American Troops to be deployed in Canada to help with Civil Unrest. They Sounded like Chicken Little, you know, ”the sky is falling, the sky is falling”. Anyway these folks were mistaken. I straightened them out at the time by correcting their statements. The fact is a deal was struck between our two countries. It was to help each other during Civil Emergencies; not Civil Unrest. There is a big difference. Canadian troops would help out in the States if needed and American soldiers would lend a hand here if we needed them as well. Civil Emergencies are things like Forest Fires, Flooding, Weather Problems, and or a Catastrophic Event. The spirit of the agreement covers these things not a Political Coupe which is what some of you paranoid individuals thought up in your narrow minds.
Guess what folks your “conspiracy theory” is being played out right now in the Gulf of Mexico near New Orleans where our Canadian military equipment and soldiers are being used to help out in a CIVIL EMERGENCY called a hurricane !! Maybe after we help clean up, Mr. Harper has some plan to take over New Oreleans? That’s how some of you think isn’t it? And isn’t that pathetic?
