Duster Hair

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Duster Hair?  It’s kind of the opposite of Cap-Head.  Instead of all smushed down, it’s just all over the place.  It comes from having two windows completely rolled down, the two back windows flipped out (if you’re old enough, you’ll understand), and two vents down by your shins (the size of small cupboards) wide open.  (Mind you, the dog still had to put his head out the window)

It’s Monday afternoon as I write this.  The original plan for today was golf, but that fell though.  Well, the weather’s just too nice to not take advantage of it.  So I said “Let’s take the Duster out.”  The destination: the same place as last Monday.  Mill Race Park in Cambridge.  There’s this nice little area down by the Grand River.  You can walk along & just enjoy the view.   There’s also a great little hot dog stand called L.A.Franks.  Big ole’ quarter-pound hot-dogs (all the right toppings), fresh cut fries, picnic tables…it’s just perfect.

Here’s hoping we still have a lot more great sunny days ahead of us over the next month or two, but just in case, it’s a good idea not to let a single one go to waste.
