O.J. Delayed
Monday, October 6th, 2008What a shock. If Mr. Simpson were charged with jaywalking a jury would pounce on the chance to convict him. I don’t know (or care) about the details of his Las Vegas misadventures, but when the jury returned a 12-count guilty verdict at its’ first opportunity it made me think twice. Yes it was poetic. It was on the 13th anniversary of his victory in a Los Angeles courtroom when we all thought he was guilty of killing his wife and her friend. I would have been okay if the jury had spent the weekend “pondering” as opposed to Hi Fiving and conducting interviews. It may be a just verdict, but it must also appear to be just. This one has a hint of “gotcha.”
