You're right. Except for two points I must address. While her name is not Julie Miller (I have no idea where I came up with Miller there), it is not Julie Denz either. Julie Benz. Benz. OK? We're both wrong! Well, I'm more wrong...and I would dispute your comment about the A-Team. Although there is only the one Rambo-related death in First Blood, there is still bloodshed. Stabbings and shootings and so forth are more violent than the A-Team, even when resulting in no deaths. And even without actually killing people (because that would make Rambo unsympathetic in First Blood), we learn that Rambo has a thousand ways to make you die...and he DOES kill that deputy...

Some interesting trivia - Kirk Douglas was slated to play the Richard Crenna role in First Blood, Col. Trautmann, but walked off the set when he got into a fight with the director. Douglas insisted that Trautmann kill Rambo in that final scene. But I guess the producers knew what kind of bank they would get for the sequels...

Very good review, except for two points that I must address:

1) The actress in Rambo is Julie Denz, not Julie Miller (Dexter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

2) In First Blood, Rambo does not kill anyone. He fires a lot of ammunition and stabs deputies with a huge hunting knife, and eventually shoots the sheriff (but he didn't shoot the deputy!) but everyone survives. The only death that occurs in the movie is that of the sadistic Sheriff deputy who falls off the helicopter, and it was an accident (Rambo just throws a rock at the aircraft for crying out loud!) - So in terms of killing, the first Rambo was as deadly as the A-team! The bloodshed began in Rambo II and never stopped.

Cheers!
