Halloween
It’s Halloween and it’s time to get scary looking.
Many of us are going to be heading out all dressed up with our kids or to some Halloween parties…but some of us won’t. I noticed many friends and even a few co-workers who decided not to dress up. I asked some people why they didn’t want to get into the fun of all hallows eve.
One person quoted sports show host Jim Rome who basically said if any guy gets dressed up for work then they are a loser and anyone who compliments their costume actually pities them.
I disagree with this. Why is it so wrong to dress up and have fun on a day like halloween? I can understand why some job positions or some circumstances won’t allow. I know I wouldn’t take a cop seriously if they pulled me over wearing a Cinderella outfit or looking like Tim Curry in Rocky Horror Picture Show.
But has everyone else lost their inner child or become a halloween scrooge? I highly endorse dressing up for the day full of goblins and ghouls. To support this I got dressed up as Ron Burgundy of Anchorman today. I’m sure a picture or two may show up on our website.
Like watching horror movies I think dressing up should be a necessary part of October 31st no matter how old you are.
So grab the fangs, wigs, and make up and have fun.

“If you are OVER the age of seven and you are wearing a costume right now, you ARE a loser. … I don’t want to be friends with you, I don’t want to see you, I don’t want to do business with you, and most of all I don’t want you listening to my show.” - Jim Rome
Well put Romie, well put.
