THANK YOU!
And thank goodness for my boys on Clear Mornings. They were sheltering Charlee from her own tears! Your kind support of our Shelter From The Storm radiothon today is overwhelming.

Many more women and children will sleep better tonight because of you and your generous donation to help us stop domestic violence.
Three of the most powerful women in the world are together on the Oprah show today. Tina, Cher and Oprah. Each of them
came from either humble or horrible beginnings. Tina especially suffered years of abuse with Ike Turner. She suffered mostly in silence.
The voices of abuse are being heard louder! Approximately 11,000 calls are made annually to the crisis line of the Vancouver Emergency Shelter.
Thank you for graciously allowing us to ‘talk the talk’ that nobody really wants to hear. And thank you again for helping us raise funds, along with awareness, to help stop violence against women and children.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Charlee
Talk to you on Monday! My radio sis, Susan Sierra, is in on Clear Mornings tomorrow.

It’s also about anyone who’s influenced the music industry in some major way. Wayne and I were talking the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame and Neil Diamond drama.
The legendary artist, who’s ‘Cherry Cherried’ and ‘Sweet Carolined’ his way into our hearts and lives for over five decades, desires to get inducted but is disappointed that he keeps getting rejected.
I likened it to a big, red ink stamp, ‘PAROLE DENIED’ on his new album (in stores today) “Home Before Dark”. I’m sure Neil Diamond is thinking “Hall of Fame before Death”!
Here’s a fabulous site for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Inductees are selected in the categories of Perfomer,
Non-Performer, Early Influence or Sidemen.
Join me for another Clear Morning tomorrow with Idol chatter with Wayne our weather guy. Mindless chatter with Russ, and Traffic chatter with Bruce, helping you avoid driving drama on the ride in!
I’ll show you where the money is in Canada with top family incomes. Also more Do’s and Don’ts for Mother’s Day coming up this weekend.
Talk to you soon!

…at the BCSPCA pancake breakfast and open house over the weekend in Vancouver!
Please visit our website for this week’s Clear Pet of the Week through the BCSPCA.
Shadow is a pretty lab/pitty girl with kisses for treats and
Flippin’ Pro with us!enough energy to run Russ off his feet on the Coquitlam Crunch. She needs a loving home with some training (just like I’m doing with Russ as ‘Boyfriend in Training’ for a lucky girl) and Shadow needs an active lifestyle (like social butterfly Charlee girl)!
I’m going to enjoy the rest of this beautiful sunshine that Wayne gave us in his forecast for the week.
Join us tomorrow morning for yet another big Clear Concert Announcement. I am on such a learning curve for keeping secrets!

p.s. Here’s me in a previous life! (Looks like my crazy Siamese Baby Bella Blue actually).

This morning we went from Wayne Cox mentioning an old UK tradition of dancing around the Maypole, to my response of “What? You want POLE dancing on the show?”!
Got me thinking, and tomorrow I’ll be talking ‘pole dancing for
fitness’ in Vancouver.
MAYbe I should refer to Wayne as our ‘Wine Guy’, rather than Weather Guy from the Global News Hour! How about some icewine stains on that dressing gown in his White Rock weather office?
Make that the limited edition Rolling Stones ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ Icewine from Ex Nihilo Vineyards near Kelowna. Wayne and I were talking this up last week. How exciting?! Only 222 cases produced. Each bottle sells for $125 and comes with a limited edition collector’s book.

I’m ditching you for Y & R now!
My fave soap has just earned 17 nominations for the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards June 20th! And I’ve got a date with Mr. Big and my Sex and the City girls on Oprah today!
Tomorrow on Clear Mornings it’s Hat Day. I wish I had a Rolling Stones cap. That would be fab! Actually, this just came to me! I’ll gladly accept baseball caps to wear on Fridays. I need to catch up to Russ’s ‘walk-in closet’ full of them! If it’s a company logo or volunteer organization of yours, I’d be happy to mention where you’re coming from loud and CLEAR!
Another fun Phrase of the Week for our Friday, and a sneek peek at People’s 100 Most Beautiful People in the world!
Enjoy your May Day sunshine.

…ONE Yin for Charlee
…and THREE Yang for my Clear Morning boys!
It’s all about BALANCE.
The ‘Rock Balancing’ Artist at English Bay makes it look easy! Life? Not so much. Relationships? Even more challenging.
What about when there’s an age difference?
Older women, younger men explored on Clear Mornings tomorrow! Also, tips on balance for well-being.
Being mindful of ‘Blog Balance’ today with a lower word count than yesterday. A skillset enhanced from a previous relationship where He Said “Charlee what do you need ME for? You ask and answer your own questions and have conversations all by yourself?”!
She said (to herself) “Glad I’ve been promoted to working with others and am no longer in a room by myself”!
Enjoy your evening.

Russ’s kindergarten report card!
How cute is this? On Friday’s show I was saying how my report
click to read ‘Exhibit A’cards always read “Charlee needs to apply herself”.
Ha ha ha… I then joked that Russ failed kindergarten at Harbour View Elementary in Coquitlam.
Who knew he’d have ‘Exhibit A’, provided by witness (and teacher) Mrs. Hardcastle, with evidence to the contrary?!
We now turn to ‘Exhibit B’.
Keep Your Nose To The GrindstoneOur
Phrase Of The Week! Pic was staged as a joke circa 1910.
“Not kidding” about a ‘torture chamber’ (blog-bondage with bling!!) thing, for the boys when they get a failing grade on ‘keeping their noses to the (Clear Morning) grindstone’!
Guess I could have “applied myself” to this blog earlier in the weekend but I have a houseguest in town.
I’ve got Exhibits A-Z of excuses as the ‘Queen of Justification’!
“Fit For A Queen” opens Thursday in Vancouver for one night only at the River Rock Show Theatre. A ‘Vegas Style’
drag show with proceeds to the Shooting Stars Foundation. Join me Tuesday morning at 7:50 for Charlee chit-chat with Kendra Sprinkling, Executive Director of the foundation.
Lots of fun on our Monday too, including our first BC SPCA Pet of the Week on Clear Mornings! A Makeover Monday and a Clear Escape for mom through Clear Rewards to give away, and I give myself an A for keeping a secret this long!
BIG Clear concert announcement tomorrow morning just after 7 and just before weather with Wayne Cox from the Global News Hour. A New and exotic Clear Escape will be announced before 9am!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Talk to you on our Monday drive! Bruce Williams is back tomorrow morning with traffic, and an ‘A’ for ‘creative commute’!
Charlee…

The annual list of the World’s 100 Sexiest Women is out. If I can pry it out of the hands of my Clear Morning boys, I’ll tell you who the sexy girls are!
There are 99 female billionaires in the world, 16 more than last year. We’ll tell you who the rich girls are!
More money means less sleep according to StatsCan. Join us tomorrow to find out how your income is related to your sleep pattern. Perhaps we can count pretty dollar bills falling from Heaven to help us fall asleep?!

From ‘Jeans Day’ today to ‘Hat Day’ tomorrow on Clear FM!
Another Friday thing we do is the ‘Phrase of the Week’.
Looking forward to winding down a crazy, busy week with you!

If it’s a good man, look for the average-looking man! I’ll tell you why tomorrow morning with results from The Canadian Club MANners Survey released this week.
If it’s a baby boy, eat bananas! What you eat can influence what gender you conceive. More on that as well.
If it’s more happiness, it comes with more birthdays! The ‘golden years’ really are golden. I’ll share the happy news with you tomorrow on Clear Mornings.
My boy Byth is conquering the Coquitlam Crunch! For a
Coquitlam Crunchgreat website of all the local walking trails visit

I just might join Russ on this fabulous ‘booty’ walk!
Tomorrow it’s all about putting your butt in a pair of blue jeans for the 18th Annual Jeans Day. Proceeds to BC Children’s Hospital. More at www.jeansday.ca

We can keep it moving with the ‘The Top 10 Actions’ on Earth Day today.
As gas prices keep going up, Zipcar could be an alternative for you. The company just celebrated its first year of ‘car sharing’ in Vancouver.
Join me tomorrow morning, around
7:50, for Charlee chit-chat with Ann Marie MacKinnon, Marketing Manager of Zipcar Vancouver.
I’ve got an open invitation to test-drive one of their cars. I can be the Danica Patrick of Zipcar! ‘Charlica’ Morgan.
Met the one the makes your heart race?
Want to be the first to cross the non-traditional line?
Tomorrow on the show, ‘Nuptials meet Narcissism’! A new trend where the bride and groom plan their wedding based on their personalities. Recent wedding cake creations include a ’shotgun wedding’ design featuring a pregnant bride; a ‘multi-tasking bride and groom’, each with a cellphone to their ear. Or how about this to shock the relatives?
A leggy (figurine) ‘bride straddling her groom’ on top of the wedding cake!
This and more (do we need more?) on the show tomorrow, including Administrative Professional Day defined!
Kisses to the Earth and enjoy the rest of your day.
