Remembering John Rutsey
This week, original Rush drummer John Rutsey passed away at age 55 following complications from a lifelong battle with diabetes. Though there’s no footage out there of the original Rush line-up, I thought I’d post a video of Lee, Lifeson, and Peart performing the defining song from John Rutsey’s time with the band. Take a look, and why not raise a glass this weekend to Rush’s original stickman. You can use the song title as your bonus code (enter it as one word). Have a great long weekend!

Geez, I remember seeing the Rutsey era Rush at my high school one year long ago, and that sold me on the Boys!
Been a fan ever since.
I will indeed raise a glass or two, and play all the old Rush I have this fine weekend in honour of him and Vicky.
No fireworks allowed out in Brampton, so I will have to make it sound like there is.
Turn It Up!!!!

Hi Mr. Andrew Burns, Thanks for the post !! Certainly John deserves our respect and deserves to be remembered. He contributed to a band that ,today, is a world wide iconic band. Hopefully, Geddy and the boys will do a big tribute to him in Toronto this July. All our thoughts, prayers, and respects go out to the Rutsey family. RiffBoyRob

My comment is completely unrelated.
It’s involving your talk on air about the Narnia movie… you and Jeff talking about whether or not it is for kids.
I’m turning 27 in June and I love the Chronicles of Narnia… I’d watch that over and over again.
Also… The Chronicles of Narnia was around when we were younger. The movie wasn’t but the story was and it’s something a lot of people grew up with and is only now more familiar with the younger generations.
That’s my say!
