New R.E.M. Streaming

R.E.M. have a new album on the way. “Accelerate” is due in stores Tuesday April 1st. Fingers crossed that’s it better than “Around The Sun”, one of the most dissapointing albums from a major band that I’ve ever heard, especially coming off of 2001’s “Reveal”, which had some great songs.
Back when I worked at that other radio station, there was often a debate about whether or not R.E.M. should be played on rock radio. While I’ve been dissapointed by the band in concert and on record the last few years, I don’t think there’s any denying that R.E.M. is one of the best bands of the past 25 years. Albums like “Document”, “Out of Time”, and “Automatic For The People” are brilliant top to bottom.
