If you want proof that the feminist movement is destroying our traditions and standard of living for the average family take a look at the sky rocketing divorce rate. The feminist movement started at nearly the exact time divorces started increasing, coincidence?

As a woman, I felt the need to comment. I am 28 years old and the single mom of a 6 year old. I also am a working mom and am working on my Masters. My mother never told me to focus on my career and have children later, but I do remember thinking at a young age, that I will be a tough and rich business woman and have children later in life. Well, life didn't turn out that way and I could not be happier. I also remember worrying in High School, being a Maritimer, if I would find a job and one that pays well. I was more worried about being able to support myself let alone supporting a future family. The economy in the Maritimes is not family friendly. Most families need a dual income to support itself, so the women do not have any other choice. I now live at home with my parents because I love my job and am in a stereotypical womans' job that does not pay well, at all. I have to wait until I get the piece of paper that says I have my Masters even though I am more then qualified to move up in my job due to my experience and therefore make enough money to support myself and my child. The cost of living sucks and most women get paid crap in the Marimtimes. They cannot afford to have children on what they get paid....and well, most men I have met are not responsible men who support their families or expect the women to pull in another income. I am not sure if feminism is the cause of this or the economy.
