Gone are the days of actual peace keeping missions.

Canada should be distancing themselves from the U.S. Their leader is a few sandwiches short a picnic and it is very clear his intentions are not the best. In my opinion he is the bully in the school yard looking to pick a fight.
How many much has the Bush family profited from war as well? I am not positive but I believe they have their hands in those baskets.

I fully agree that we should get out ships out of the way and not be involved in this war.

I think we should move all our ships along with other countries and surround the US. Then we demand that the US stops their nuclear enrichment for the purpose of creating nuclear arms. And dismantle the ones they already have.

What gives them the right to nuclear weapons?

You make some very good points Andrew. I hope it is not “our” navy’s turn.

Forget Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and any other future countries that the US labels as a global threat - does anyone remember what happened to Britain’s navy during the 1982 Falklands War (conflict/crisis) against Argentina? The British lost four warships and on one occasion lost a landing craft with 50 plus souls aboard. I would bet that Iran has their version of the Exocet missile as well.

I am a military brat and I have the deepest respect for everyone who joins the forces but … that could be Canada but only ten times as bad.

Lets keep our troops home and have them take the defensive role on for a change. Our brave men and women don’t deserve to be sent abroad to fight someone else’s war.
