Hey Andrew, why don't we just raise all the rural towns and force everyone into the city.

What you are suggesting is UnCanadian. We must take care of ALL of our people where ever they live. That's the socialist aspect of Canada.

Something has to be done about that rich getting richer and middle class being destroyed, but dare you mention that and you get called a commi or a union lover.

Nice post, Andrew. You have a good insight and a way of putting everything into an understandable point of view that people can relate to.

Richard is doing a nice job filling in for you, but we'll be looking forward to hearing you back on the morning show after your vacation.

Wow, Andrew you really hit the nail on the head. I would also like to add that politics has also played a central role in the advancements you discussed. It is quite easy to dovetail our everyday political foibles in the various technological developments. Just imagine back in the 70s, did Trudeau really say “fuddle duddle” or ???. With today’s progress what with YouTube and the like, this would have been analyzed and yes, we would know for sure….but, do we really want to know or is it more fun to keep it a mystery. Oh to go back in time…..

The best…

Amen brother. One thing that's really crazy, and is going to make me sound like a total hick (but its true), is the inflation in the price of farm tractors. New tractors have increased in price so much that you can actually sell 30 and 40 year old heavily used tractors for much more than their original purchase price. None of this value is tied it it being rare or antique, it lies entirely in its utility relative to a new tractor. The thing that pisses me off the most in the vehicle sector (other than the fact that we are still being forced to use internal combustion engines) is the predominance of luxury trucks.
