TV Ad Crushes
Okay, so I admit I have a crush on the Most Interesting Man in the World. You know, the one who doesn’t always drink beer, but when he does, he prefers Dos Equis. If you haven’t seen the TV ad I’m referring to, check it out HERE.
I see there’s lots of blogging going on about him. Is it actor Jonathan Goldsmith? Is the character based on Ernest Hemingway? Who really cares? At the end of the day, he’s the man guys want to be and women want to be with. The commercial is smart, funny and it makes me want to drink Dos Equis. Click THIS to find out more about him and to see if you’re skilled enough to become his next assistant.
Is there an ad that affects you in the same way? State your case by clicking on the No Comments/Comments link at the bottom. Today’s Jack Nation bonus code is STAYTHIRSTY. It’s good until August 24th.

I must admit, I do enjoy watching those commercials with women showing off their legs for Nair or Veet or Gillette Venus, but I love Maria Menounos doing her hair commercials, and I still like that Tic Tac girl (It’s not jus a mint, it’s a Tic Tac) even though she looks different from her older commercials where I really had a crush on her. There are other women on TV ads that I like, but they’re just not coming to my mind right now.
Carly’s Note: I remember those Tic Tac commercials. I didn’t realize they were back. I guess I just don’t watch the right channels.

Hi Carly,
Years ago the beautiful blonde girl who did the Tic Tac commercials was Kelly Harmon who is Mark Harmon’s sister and yes i agree she is gorgeous although i haven’t seen the recent commercials.
The other girl who could sell me anything and i would buy it would be Jaclyn Smith from the old Charlie’s Angels show in the 70’s. She’s 60 now and still looks fantastic and has such a sultry voice with a southern accent.
Have a great day Carly.
Carly’s Note: She was always my favourite Angel, too! I met her a few years ago and she still looks great - even in person.

Hello Carly,
I noticed this blog is still going today. I must say I want the yellow M&M… If this chocolate covered nut was a man he would be perfect…
He’s dopey but in a sweet way…
Still believes in santa (means lots of gifts)
He is almost 70 years old and still looks great…not that I’m even close to 70….LOL
Birthdays will always be remembered (After all he remembered his first girlfriend “Cheryl”)
Doesn’t have to show his peanut to be the Life of the party….LOL
Carly’s Note: It’s easy to crack his hard exterior. He’s not afraid to come out of his shell. You can take him anywhere. I see your point!

No, there is an ad however that makes me cringe, the Pedigree dog food ads…DEEEESGUSTING. You already know one of my biggest pet peeves is people smacking when they eat. I love dogs, but do I really want to hear them smack on their doggie treats or food every time there’s a commercial break? Hell NAH! I think the worst one is there’s a dog that digs into the bag of food face first so you get to HEAR him chowing down, and get to stare at his love back 40, nether regions and all. Lovely.
Carly’s Note: Misery loves company! I hate that sound, too. I always mute those commercials.

Me too girl!!! ALWAYS mute or forward if it’s on tape. We are way too much alike - great minds, so they say!
Carly’s Note: Indeed!
