Banana ice cream from the Avondale Dairy in St. Catharines. They put, or used to put, real banana chunks in to it. It was the best.
I think I need to make a trip now.

Carly's Note: Real banana? That would be amazing!

Orange Pineapple... yum. It's hard to find these days, though.

Carly's Note: Oh, that would be good!

Ah ice cream, arch-rival of my chocolate addiction. Heavenly hash, and chocolate peanut butter (Baskin & Robbins) :P YUMMO. I went to DQ the other night to get a Brownie Blizzard, but alas, I behaved and got a wee chocolate dipped cone. Wimp...

Carly's Note: Excellent self-control. :)

i love icecream almost every flavor my fav flavors are pralines and cream and when i can get it(which isnt very often) tiger tail. My kids hate it cause its made with black licorice but i love love love it.

Carly's Note: I think black licorice is a taste you acquire as you get older. I didn't mind Tiger Tail as a kid, but maybe that's because there was a lot more orange sherbet than black licorice swirls.

Carly,
I don't crave ice cream in the winter; but boy oh boy, let me tell you, i have it quite often in the summer,(actually too often)
My favourite at D.Q. is the reese peanut butter cup blizzard; and have you ever tried the peanut butter chocalate persuasion ice cream from M&M meats? (it's to die for) try it..... you won't be disapointed.
Thanx
Norma

Carly's Note: Thanks for the tips, Norma! I usually stick with the chocolate dipped cone at DQ, maybe a Peanut Buster Parfait if I'm ravenous, but it's always nice to consider other options.

Hard ice cream is better by far. The 30+ flavours are there.
Can't do much with a soft cone. (That sounded bad.... get your mind out of the gutter Carly). The only option is to dip a soft ice cream cone into chocolate to make it worthwhile (Out Carly!).
Plus, hard ice cream lasts longer (I can't help it Carly, the innuendos just happen)
Heavenly Hash or Rocky Road were the best until Cookie Dough came out. MMMMMM Sugar!

Carly's Note: Thanks for the laugh, Owen! :)

Hi Carly, Thanks for the points and the excuse for getting some hard ice cream today, Pralines & Cream is my all time favorite. I used to prefer soft ice cream until some IT guys I worked with had me believeing it is an oil product that does not melt. So now it is bike to Baskins-Robbins after supper to grab a one scoop.

Carly's Note: While it's good to get the bike ride in if you're going to consume extra calories, I think your IT guys are out to lunch! My understanding it that there's more air and sodium in soft ice cream, preventing the product from hardening.

Hi Carly,
When it comes to ice cream cones i prefer the soft chocolate/vanilla swirl from the trucks like you do.
With apple pie i like the harder ice cream either chocolate or vanilla.
Some of the sherberts like orange in the summer time are kinda cool too.
Do you like those ice cream sandwiches or those cones with nuts - drum sticks! Whenever i bring them over for my friends kids it's the adults who are fighting over them!
Have a great day.

Carly's Note: Ice cream sandwiches take me back. My uncle used to drive a milk truck and would always come to Grandma's with frozen treats like ice cream sandwiches and Revels. Yum!

yeah, Rum Raisin Root Beer Float made with just a splash of vodka ... you need the spoon though 'cause the raisins get stuck in the straw.

Carly's Note: That's a whole lot going on there, Bob. Rum and vodka - it could work as long as you don't have to after one of those at lunch. :)
