Wine Cork Art is really cool: Christmas Wreath for the front door made of of corks with little festive grape bunches, hundreds of corks glued to the end wall of a rec-room (why paint?), clear glass vase filled with corks topped with silk flower arrangement, corks attached to and arranged with patio party lights... Anyone else have any other ideas? And the best part? Draining the bottles to get the corks!!!
:)

Carly's Note: I hear there's a cork shortage and that they can be returned to be recycled (like the bottles, I guess, but no deposit). I don't know where you take them, though. The LCBO?

Perhaps cliche... How about refilling them? Cost me about fifty cents a bottle to refill with beer, and about a buck to refill wine. That and you get what you want in a wine. Wombat wine...sweet and strong bwahahaah

Carly's Note: I'm all for it as long as the refill is the same quality as the original.

I drink maybe 5 beers a year, so nobody can get any empties from me!
However, I did make a business card holder at work that was made out of an old box of batteries. It kinda looks like a sofa, so I made a little paper slip cover for it. Now I call it a "business card sofa." Maybe I should take a picture of it and submit it to that redneck inventions website. LOL

Carly's Note: Except that hillbillies don't have business cards. You have to be able to read!

That's an amazing invention. It's great that you're making people aware of good inventions that help the environment. I was watching the great Canadian hillbillies "The Trailerpark Boys" and they seem to have some pretty fun ideas about what to do with empty bottles. :)

Carly's Note: Yes, but those inventions aren't environmentally friendly - like Ray and his p*ss jugs. :)
