I took my eight year old daughter on Saturday night to see Gordon Lightfoot. Had an AWESOME time. My daughter loved Massey Hall (told me it is a 'grand' place), and she loved Gordon Lightfoot as well - she even wrote a paper for school about the concert. Brought tears to my eyes as well.

Carly's Note: What a great story and a fantastic way to spend Mother's Day weekend. I'm sure your daughter will remember that for the rest of her life.

Hey, that didn't work for me and its still the 12th as far as I know! :) Said it expired....booooo! :)

Carly's Note: Sorry to hear that, Jay. Maybe it was set for 12 p.m., instead of a.m. There'll be another one later today. :)

I think you should tell that to Jeff Chamlers about the vasectomy.
Then tell him you will give him 100 Jack Nation points.

Carly's Note: What won't Jack Nation members do for 100 points? :)

It was so nice to hear you and Jeff mention bowling on Friday afternoon. And yes, you're right, bowling seems to be on the decline, but it's one of the few sports where female professional bowlers can compete and sometimes beat male pro bowlers.
Perhaps I can come up with a few ideas on how to make bowling more sexy. Maybe a mixed team bowling endurance event. It would have to be something where only the fittest bowlers would survive, not like the big, fat, balding guys with beer bellies. If you actually watch a professional bowling event nowadays, it's mostly the former, not the latter, as some tournaments involve playing 50 games or more a week.

Carly's Note: I remember going to bowling birthday parties as a kid. They were fun and that was before Rock 'n Bowl or Cosmic Bowling.
