Sea of Red at the ACC

Chris Bosh

This is my favourite photo of the week.  Chris Bosh is a class act and it’s heart-warming to see the sea of red at the ACC.  I’m not an ardent NBA fan, but I played basketball in high school and do enjoy watching the game.

Are you going to the game on Saturday?  What was the best sports match you ever attended?  Share your experiences by using the No Comments/Comments link below.  Today’s Jack Nation bonus code is REDRAPTORS.  It’s good until April 27th.

I was at Game 1 on Thursday night & can barely talk. My voice was in bad shape by the end of the 1st Quarter & I had a headache! I love the Sea of Red & also attended Game 1 last year & had no voice after that game either. I’ll be at Game 2 Saturday & will use whatever voice I have left to cheer the Raptors on!

Carly’s Note: Hopefully you’re not a crooner or a 9-1-1 dispatcher or work in some other field (like radio) where you have to speak for a living. :)

best sport to watch live is soccer (for the atmosphere) followed by hockey, football, baseball basketball etc.
Soccer live is awesome. I enjoy baseball a lot but theres no comparision between crowds.

Carly’s Note: I love soccer for the endurance factor - man, can those guys run!

    Hi Carly,
I’m only going if I win the raffle to courtside seats, so I’ll have to wait and see, but it would be thrilling to be so UP CLOSE AND PEROSNAL. Probably even get sweatballs off their foreheads fling across and hit you (GROSS THOUGHT, but probably not untrue) as you’re so close!!
Have a great weekend Carly and keep up the great blogs and radio show, we all love ya!

Carly’s Note: Thanks for compliment, but not for the sweat image - yechh!

I haven’t gone to a Raptors game in about four or five years now, but I still love them to bits. Three guys in my bowling league went to Thursday’s game and actually appeared on page 2 of the Sun on Friday.
I would have to say that any Jays game that I go to where they win is the best game I attended, especially if the game is won on a home run in the bottom of the 9th, like Joe Carter’s blast back in game 6 of the 1993 World Series. I wasn’t at that game, but it felt like I was there. I was at the Dome for game 6 the year before, but it was only to watch the game on the Jumbotron along with other diehard fans since the Jays were winning the World Series in Atlanta at the time. But these two games rank high among my favourite Jays games ever. I wish we could see more games like those this season, but they seem few and far between so far.

Carly’s Note: Nothin’ beats a bottom of the 9th win. :)

    Hi Carly,
My best sports memory as a spectator was at the 1992 Blue Jay World Series game 1. Devon White’s catch in center field and Kelly Gruber’s tagging of Deion Sanders were amazing highlights. Canada-Russia 1972 was a super expereince too.
As a participant my last high school football game we won the championship and my friend Bob who was about 6′3″ and my other good friend Evan who was about 5′2″ hoisted me onto their shoulders at the end of the game. Needless to say it was lopsided but a lot of fun not to mention the beer and champagne that was drank afterwards. It’s amazing we didn’t topple over and injure ourselves!
    Have a great day:)

Carly’s Note: Those are some pretty awesome memories. I guess my “Canada-Russia” equivalent would have been the gold medal hockey games at the Olympics (women’s and men’s) - not the last Games, the one before. :)
