Strange Inventions
Today Jeff and I were talking about the Nubrella (pictured above), an umbrella that keeps you dry and hands free. I think it’s brilliant, although it looks a bit bizarre. It won’t seem so strange, though, once all the kids are doing it. It may feel funny walking around in a bubble, but it definitely has a practical side. It used to feel weird walking around with a cell phone pressed to your ear and look how that has caught on. And then there’s gun-shaped eggs…
Why would you ever need this invention? To make Western omelettes fun again? To get a shot of protein in your breakfast?

I have to get me one of those frying pans, as for the Nubrella, is the girl included or do they come separate? Make one built for 2 and then we can get cozy in the rain.
Carly’s Note: Who says romance is dead?

Hi Carly
Don’t think the nubrella would work for you or Sam because you’re
both too hot!! Major fogging up.
Bob
Carly’s Note: You know just the right things to say, Bob.

Where do you get those egg/cookie cutters? I could totally sell those to a few people I know!
Carly’s Note: Not sure where you get them, but they’re made by a company called Urban Trend.

O.K., the most recent invention that I saw advertised the other day on T.V. was “Topsy Turvy Upside Down Planter for Tomatoes” At first I couldn’t believe that this product had been invented, but then thought…. You know that might actually take off if it actually works especially for those people who live in apartments or don’t have a large garden for gardening……. I don’t know…. guess time will tell if we start to see these things flapping in the wind. Here’s the link to see the actual product.

Carly’s Note: I saw it advertized in one of those Sky Mall magazines you find on airplanes, along with those satellite dish-looking things that allow you to eavesdrop on conversations. You’re right - nothing beats the taste of homegrown tomatoes. Here’s hoping it works…

If you watch Ellen she’s talked about two kind of hilariosu inventions lately. The Tiddy Bear (that you put on your seatbelt to relieve a too tight strap across your chest - can’t believe they got away with that name!) and the Hawaii chair: http://ellen.warnerbros.com/2008/01/hawaii_chair.php
;p
Carly’s Note: They aren’t marketing that chair correctly. I don’t think it’s meant for the workplace - unless you’re Heidi Fleiss.
