Ozzy in a Diaper?
Were you at the Ozzy concert last night? Although I had a great time belting out all of his familiar tunes, Ozzy is a parody of his former self. He’s gone from being the cool older cousin to the drunk uncle. And I think he was wearing a diaper! His pants were bunchy in the front - and not in a good way. Leave your thoughts about Ozzy or another artist who didn’t live up to your expectations in the comments section below.
And here are the John Mellencamp afternoon drive bonus codes. They’re valid until midnight tonight (Tuesday) and could score you free tickets to the show on February 6th. You need to be a member of the Jack Nation, though, so sign up (also free) at www.925jackfm.com.
3 p.m. - PINK
4 p.m. - DOWN

Strange that Ozzy should come to Toronto on one of our coldest nights. Even stranger was the thought “When Hell freezes over” kept creeping into my mind.
Carly’s Note: Nothing that a flaming Ozzy crucifix couldn’t thaw!

Well, he is old enough. I guess it DEPENDS on how much he drinks. LOL.
Carly’s Note: It’s not so much his age as the abuse he has put his body through over the years, BUTT I see you what did there.

Are you sure Ozzy was sporting a diedee? Sure it wasn’t you were just fantasizing about cupid coming early?
Its getting close to that day, yah know!
Im looking forward to some pics of some sexy men and not ones in diapers.
Carly’s Note: Good call on the hot guys! Will definitely post some for VD. Thanks for the suggestion, Bev.

My friend noticed something about Ozzy’s pants too….I don’t think he would have mooned the crowd if he had a diaper though - who knows???
I 100% agree with your review. Thank goodness for Rob Zombie!
Carly’s Note: I don’t think he needs the wetness protection in the back - just the front.

Anyone who went to the show with the expectation that they were going to see the ozzy of old was really only fooling themselves.Let’s face the facts people, he is a 60 yr old man who in my opinion still sounded great, with or without a teleprompter you can change the fact he still has the voice which should be the important thing to critisize not what he looked like, or the fact that the only thing he said was “I can’t %#@%!&% hear you” all night long.Anyone who thinks otherwise is not a true ozzy fan and should not have gone to the show!!!!It was all that i expected.
Carly’s Note: I think it’s hard for fans who saw him in his prime to see him now, especially when artists who are of similar ages, like Roger Waters and Eric Clapton, appear to be healthy and still put on shows comparable to their heyday. It’s good that your expectations were met, though.

I took the bus from Ottawa to Toronto to see this show the other day, and I thought it was an amazing show. Unfortunately, much of Toronto would disagree. Me, being a huge Ozzy fan, after reading the worst review of him in the paper, you can guess how I feel. And after hearing “Ozzy wears a diaper ” on the radio, why not have the balls to ask him yourself instead of hiding behind your microphone and insulting him (that was directed to whoever started the whole thing…). On my ride home, hearing people talk trash about Ozzy because he wasn’t what he once was, I would like to see these people try and sing at all at 59. And to Ben Reyner of the Toronto Star, going out with dignity is your opinion. Did it ever occur to you that he does it for himself and fans, not for the pride? What the hell is a douche bag pop music critic reviewing a concert like this anyway? Hopefully, Ozzy will never visit Toronto again and change it to Ottawa. I think he would do better without you poser “fans.” Those are just my two cents.
Carly’s Note: That’s the great thing about our country. We’re each entitled to an opinion and a forum to share it. Thanks for yours. I’m glad you enjoyed the show. I don’t envy your bus ride, though. I’ve done it many times and it can be trying at the best of times. I wrote a blog posting about it in November.
